Are what was genuinely one of the best meals of my life here. So much care, attention to detail and subtle flavour in the dishes. I’ve eaten at Tetsuyas in Sydney and this was significantly more beautiful, thoughtful and delicious. The owner/chef was trained by his father in this 90 year old residence. What was even more special was the great warmth and friendliness shown by our hosts and their super-cute daughter. Our room faced the sunset and the ryokan is close the town and short walk from the historic town centre.Cannot recommend this place highly enough!!! 🌸🌸🌸🥰🥰🥰

This year, it was migratory crabs. I didn't know it was this delicious. About two years ago, it was Ise lobster. It never ceases to amaze me. I wonder if it would be a good idea to go out to eat on a two-year pattern.

Amazing stop, with friendly and attentive hosts and incredible food. We are hiking the Kumano Kodo and this was the perfect stop for the night. Slept deeply in their quiet cool tatami room, after a soak in the Onsen. Thanks for a great stay!
