A guesthouse called Ammonite suddenly appears in the middle of town. Mikasa has been set up as a geopark, and fossils may have been found there. The hospitality is impeccable. The owner's aunty was kind enough to serve us food both at night and in the morning, even though we were supposed to be staying overnight without meals. The room is large enough for one person and has a TV and a fan.The only problem is other customers smoking. Although the smoking area was close to the window, there was a large amount of smoke flowing into the guest room, and I inhaled a large amount of second-hand smoke while eating. It's been a day and I'm still having a sore throat.

Honestly I don't recommend itThe selling point may be that it's homely, but it's quite quirky.I don't care about that, only those who want to stay can stay. This is my personal impression when I stayed there in midsummer.First of all, when you enter the front door, the entrance is blocked by cardboard boxes containing ingredients. You will have to pass through a narrow gap (I think this is how you are invited). When you enter, go through the living room, go up the stairs, and the guest room is on the second floor, but everything is so cluttered that it feels like a garbage mansion. The rooms are pretty decent, but the tatami mats are in tatters and there are stains on the floor. The screen door is in tatters and cannot be used at night (of course, there is no air conditioning). When I was in the room, there were lots of crickets, bugs, and moths. In the summer, the heat builds up and there is no ventilation, making it quite difficult. It was a hot day, and the closed-off room was scorching hot, making it feel like a steamy bath.Even if I wanted to rest, I couldn't stop sweating.Working under the scorching sun during the day was causing me cramps and cramps, making my condition quite severe.Twice-degree bath and morning shampoo for an additional feeThis is where your patience is tested. Some other customers were sleeping in their cars. And there was only a small refrigerator for one person in the shared hallway, so I couldn't use it.The bath wasn't filled with hot water very often, and the water was only filled for 30-40% of the time at most, so that it didn't even come up to my knees. It was impossible for one person to increase the bulk. And when it comes to meals, it seems like you won't win unless you're on time. When I was there, the host called out to me, but the gathering was a little slow, and I ended up yelling that he would stop serving me in less than 3 minutes. My impression was that this place was a prison. And crunchy hard riceDue to the physical abuse towards me, I can no longer taste the food.It was not something I could tolerate with my narrow-minded mind.I gave up after staying for 3 hours.I still want to stayI don't care about thatI think people who want to train themselves should try using it.The price is cheap, but I think it would be more comfortable to stay in the car or at a hot spring facility. This is just my impression of summer, so I might feel a little differently in winter. The host was a person with such a quirk that I don't know if I'll ever meet him in my lifetime. This attitude makes me think that I'm doing a lot of business with customers.By the way, mobile radio waves are 5G and WiFi is available here.

It's a guesthouse where you can just stay and eat some food. The air conditioner filter was clogged with dust for an unknown number of years. The tatami mats were also so damaged that they had to be replaced.

There was no trash can, and there was no key to the room, so it was impossible to stay overnight.

When we decided to visit our son and daughter-in-law who are living in Mikasa, we told them we wanted to be close to them, and have a true Japanese experience. …
