My family used it!The building, which has been standing since the Taisho era, has a great atmosphere and the children were very happy.

This is the best place to stay in Kumano! The owner of the house is an extremely kind person. The accommodation is very beautiful, quiet, and cozy in a traditional Japanese style. It is close to the station and surrounded by beautiful nature. I definitely recommend it!Thank you, Yuko 💙💛

My daughter and I stayed at Abuden for 2 days for visiting my friend there. Abuden is over 100 years, at there, you can touch the history, culture and architecture of traditional Japanese wooden building. The wood works there is amazing, not World Heritage level but tells us how local people are living. Special designed sliding doors, Traditional outdoor cooking stove “Okudosan”, Kids’ favour- Wood-fired Hot Tub Heater and some more. The host, Yuko san provides excellent service and you will not be disappointed. She also gives some add-on service, like fishman's trip and hiking tour.If you want to have a break from the noisy city and looking for some primitive experience or some funs for the kids. This is your choice.

I stayed here as an accommodation during a retreat trip. The owner, Mr. Inoue, and a skilled local carpenter have carefully renovated the old house, which has a Taisho-romantic feel to it, and it was a very comfortable stay. There is also a Western-style room surrounded by books with a historical feel, perfect for working, and one participant said, ``It's like a Ghibli house.''There was an okudo-san outside, and with the help of Mr. Inoue, we enjoyed some delicious wood-fired rice. Also, this time I was specially allowed to participate as a monitor in the ``Shiogama Tai Treasure Hunt'' and thoroughly enjoyed the fatty sea bream. There were enough futons, and I was able to sleep comfortably without feeling the coldness that is typical of old houses. It was a wonderful accommodation that I would definitely like to visit again.

My wife and I stayed in Abuden for 2 days during Japanese new year. The 100 years old house is totally traditional Japanese style(That's what we're looking for!), and the owner Yuko san is very nice. She invited us to share new year eve's dinner, and we went hiking together for the very first sunrise in 2023. That would be our best memory in Japan and I expect someday I'll travel to Kumano again.
