I got lost and was later than the scheduled check-in time, but thank you for welcoming me with a smile! I'm so sorry! There were no street lights on the night roads in Yubari, so I drove extremely safely (lol)Since we were a family (4 adults, 1 elementary school student), we stayed in a room that was not a dormitory. It was fun to work together under the covers and feel like we were at a training camp. The members I went with were at school...so I had to go to the bathroom at night. As I said, the hallway is bright even at night (lol)It's a place rich in nature, so if you're not good with insects, you might not want to go here.Next time, I would like to stay with meals included!

Really cool and interesting place. It's converted from an old high school. Staff are super nice and helpful. If you're interested in Yubari, it's a cool place to stay for a night.

There used to be ``coal mining housing'' in the area, but vacant land is noticeable now in Reiwa. This high school seems to have remained since the days when the coal mine was active. There is an inn, but it seems that only one or two people can stay there...

Previously it was called Training Camp Inn Himawari, but in 2023 it became Hostel Himawari.Compared to the days when it was a training camp inn, it seems that renovations are progressing little by little.・I put wallpaper on it, so it's no longer all white.・The rooms have Wi-Fi, a safe, a refrigerator, and a USB extension cord to compensate for the lack of electrical outlets.・Separate dormitory rooms for men and women are now available.・Men and women no longer take turns in the bathroom・There is a microwave oven on each floor.・We will pick you up from Shin-Yubari Station or the ski resort. If you do not choose a plan that includes meals, you will either have to buy them at Seicomart near the ski resort or eat at restaurants around the former Yubari Station. Both take about 20 minutes on foot.

I stayed there in 2007 for a school event. I have fond memories of how beautiful it was and the food was delicious.

I stayed there a long time ago in the summer of 2002, but since we were a family of four with two small children, the room was too big and it was difficult to climb up to the third floor. There was no elevator, but it can't be helped since it's a former high school. Breakfast is included, but the school cafeteria is nostalgic.

The outside looks a little overdone, but the inside is bright and clean.

A building where you can feel the nature and atmosphere. The interior design of the school gives a sense of warmth and nostalgia.

It's not a good idea that only groups of 15 or more people can stay. There is only one other place to stay in Yubari, in Minami Shimizusawa. The fact that only groups can use the facility in such a state requires consideration. This is because the overwhelming majority of people go alone (within 15 people).
