I highly recommend this as a place to stay. Tako, the hostel owner, potter and soba chef is so welcoming, funny and kind. We had a lot of fun at the hostel.Tako will pickup communications often (we used instagram DM) and answers questions straight away. He makes a lot of effort to speak English and to translate when needed. We would have given ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if we could.

I drank a lot with the all-you-can-drink plan, and it was a great deal and delicious~☺️. It’s fun because you can stay on the 2nd floor 😆🎵

Suuuper nice place! Great location, comfy beds but what really makes this place stand out from the rest is the super kind owner! Even though his English is not perfect he was so helpful with recommendations of what to do in the area aswell as a bit of local history and of cause an introduction to soba :)

Traveling alone outside of the pottery market! I found a soba restaurant inn on Google Maps and decided on this one because of the good reviews. As a soba fan, I ordered two types of 100 percent soba to compare, and also had Chitake soup for the first time. The mushroom soup is rich and delicious! I also tried the shochu mixed with soba hot water that the owner recommended, and I was impressed by the melty soba flavor! The rice from Mashiko that I had for breakfast was also very delicious and I will definitely be returning! ︎(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)!! ︎ I would like to try the duck BBQ plan next time (*´∀`)♪There is a bus to Utsunomiya Station from the bus stop in front of the inn, so it's convenient! !

I got lost because there was no signboard. The second floor is a hostel and the first floor is a soba restaurant.I took advantage of the golf discount plan! The guest room was a white and wooden space with a wood scent. It was also very comfortable to sleep on.For dinner, we could choose from four types: Kamonabe Gozen, Milk Mushroom Nabe Gozen, Kamo Zaru Gozen, and Milk Mushroom Zaru Gozen. This time, I had the owner's recommended Kamozaru Gozen with tempura. Handmade 100 percent soba noodles, tender duck meat, and dashi soup. There was a wide variety of drinks and I was very satisfied. I learned later that they also have a duck steak BBQ plan. The price is 7,900 yen, which includes two meals, which is quite a bargain. Also, I was early in the morning due to playing golf, but they served breakfast starting at 6am, which was very helpful!I would like to use it again when I come to Tochigi!

The second floor of the soba restaurant was a guest house! The room was newly renovated and I was able to stay comfortably.I stayed for 2 nights during Golden Week.I had great memories of making Korean and Canadian friends!During my meal, I was able to enjoy the soba noodles from the restaurant. It was very delicious. While eating soba, he talked in detail about the restaurant and the soba noodles! In addition, there are convenient stores within walking distance, stylish cafes, and other fun places nearby, so it was a great location to use as a base for the pottery market. We hope to see you in November!

I stayed for one night with a barbecue plan that included two meals. I had a barbecue duck steak on the terrace, and it was very filling and delicious! It came with all-you-can-drink wine, but as someone like me who loves alcohol, I was happy because in addition to wine, I also had all-you-can-drink various drinks such as gin, whiskey bourbon, and cocktails! Also, there happened to be a pottery market, which I enjoyed as well. I was surprised to see so many people. lolIt was a very meaningful trip as I was able to enjoy a relaxing "Mashiko time" that is not available in Tokyo. thank you very much.

The smell of wood from the moment you open the doorI don't feel pain even if I sleep for a long time in bed.I had a comfortable stay even though I have allergies. The soba experience was a memorable event. It was my daughter and I's first time, but the guidance was kind and thorough.I was healed by this. It's great to be able to eat the soba you made yourself for dinner. The time after dinner was also wonderful.I was surprised by the owner's wealth of knowledge. We are overwhelmed with information these days, but it's nice to have a moment to relax and let go of it.
