The bathroom was spacious and easy to use. It was also good that the water pressure in the shower was high. There is no ice maker, so if you need ice, you can ask the front desk and they will give you ice.

The exterior looked a little dated, so I was a little worried before entering, but once I entered, I found that the interior and guest rooms had been recently renovated, and were very clean and beautiful, making my stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and if you were hungry, you might have had a second helping.Unfortunately, the face towels and bath towels were cheap. It would have been 5 stars if it had been a little thicker and more sturdy.

A decent hotel near Engaru station. I was having a steak fair and got inspired to try it, and it was delicious.

The hotel is in a perfect location for a hotel near the station, about 5 minutes walk from JR Engaru Station and 1 to 2 minutes at most from Kitami Bus Engaru Terminal.Check-in is semi-self-service using a tablet device installed at the front desk. There is only one elevator, but since there are about 50 guest rooms on 6 floors, it doesn't seem to be very crowded (when I stayed there). There is one microwave oven and one beverage vending machine in front of the elevator on the first floor. There seems to be a banquet hall on the second floor, but I don't know as I haven't used it. There also seems to be a restaurant, but breakfast is available for reservations only.It is only open for lunch for a limited time and is closed at night. The guest room is comfortable, but the TV is located on the back, which may be fine if you're lying on the bed, but it's inconvenient if you're sitting at a desk. Also, the small table is a bit inconvenient. Also, if you stay for 3 consecutive nights, there will be no cleaning or entry into the room during the period, and replacement towels will be hung on the front door. As a side note, since I was given such guidance, I left the room cluttered with peace of mind, but I was surprised to find out that they had come in to change the towels on the first night. If you didn't want to come in, we were told not to wake you up by 10 o'clock and to hang up a tag. Also, as of July 2024, people from outside Engaru will be able to come to the town using the JR Sekihoku Main Line, stay at a hotel and inn in Engaru, receive certification on the town's prescribed application form, and submit it to the town. Then there will be a subsidy. I found out about it from an advertisement posted at the station just before I checked out and left town, so I wasn't able to take advantage of it, but there are such measures as well.https://engaru.jp/tourism/page.php?id=776(Please check the town's official website).

The newly introduced check-in tablet system is extremely troublesome. The attitude of the man at the front desk was not warm at all.According to the information in the room...If you stay for consecutive nights, there will be no cleaning for up to 3 days, and if you want it done, you have to pay an additional 1000 yen. If you want to change your loungewear, bring it to the front desk, and if you want to change your towel, you can leave it near the outside door of your room.I've never seen a hotel be so selfish, even though it's not cheap for multiple nights. Why does it smell like cigarettes even though it's a non-smoking room? It's terrible and the price is high.
