I went there for the first time around early August 2024 to play in the river.I have posted a lot of photos, so I hope you find them helpful.*Kawasa Gorge is across the red bridge from the free parking lot. The river in front of the parking lot looked like it would be fun, so I went down to the riverbank, but I had to climb the stairs again. ⇒Of course, you can also play on the riverbank.*There is a reception counter in the administration building, but there is no need to register unless you are using the campsite. It's free too! (Only when using camping)*The changing room is small, only accommodating 2.3 people, but it is convenient because there are free dial lockers.*Life jackets are available for free rental. Go to the waterslide reception area, fill out the form with your name, address, and phone number, and there are sizes for children to adults. The flow of the river and the structure of the river bed are unpredictable, so life jackets are not an exaggeration but are necessary to protect your life.*There are shops selling snacks, drinks, shaved ice, etc. inside the park, and there are also table seats inside the log house. We bought fried noodles, frankfurters, croquettes, and bottled tea. Business hours are until 15:00!*Free rest areaThe JR Fukuen Line runs through the side, so it's recommended for people who love trains.*There is a shower room in the back of the restroom ⇒ Free cold shower, 100 yen hot shower, convenient because you can stop after 3 minutes and start again. The changing area was also spacious which was nice.*There is only one person at the reception desk in the administration building, so they are busy answering calls for camping reservations...However, in my case, when I asked about a problem with my locker, they kindly responded.*The waterslide has morning and afternoon time slots, but you can slide as much as you like for 550 yen a day! There are three people in charge, so it's safe. It's for people over 120cm, but unfortunately my grandchild...◎There are two types of river activities: deep and flowing, and shallow where you can come into contact with fish and snails. It can be slippery due to the sphagnum moss, so marine shoes are recommended. Sandals can be taken off when swimming...It is safe to sit down and enter the water. There are large rocks on the riverbed, so I scrape and hit my knees. It's a good idea to swim while floating with a float or life jacket. You can find a place to rest anywhere on the riverbank with a leisure seat or tent.As long as users are careful about safety and manners, they can spend their time freely and enjoy themselves.⚠Pets cannot be taken to areas beyond the bridge. Therefore, people with pets used the river near the parking lot instead of crossing the red bridge. There are different ways to enjoy playing in the river than at the sea. It is well managed and is recommended as a place where you can enjoy nature to the fullest. Summer is the best, but I'd also like to visit during the cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons.
