I stayed in a warehouse.There is no hot spring, but you can relax in the elaborate bathroom.After passing through the walking course, you will enter the roadside station and hot springs here. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, it's so crowded that I can't relax and feel a little tired.After that, it was time for dinner, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the miso soup was exquisitely delicious.I was able to enjoy a superb meal using local vegetables and yamame trout.It can't be helped that the storehouse is old, but the sliding door in the bathroom was stuck and could not be opened or closed, so it was left open.Other than that, it has a great sense of privacy, and even if you use the projector on the second floor and play a game at high volume, no sound will leak out.Since it faces the road, the sound of touring bikes was a bit noisy at dawn.I didn't notice it because I woke up early.When I woke up a little late at night and went outside, it was a little gasy, but I could see quite a few stars.Depending on the weather and time of year, you may be able to see the Milky Way.It's a place I want to come back to.

The food is based on the terroir, and uses locally produced and locally consumed ingredients. The quality of the vegetables especially stands out. In fact, the restaurant is open to non-guests as well.

My husband and I got married at Nipponia this past April and stayed for three nights. From the moment they picked us and our wedding guests up from the Otsuki train station, we were in awe. The entire weekend was the best time of our lives. The staff was incredible—so caring, thoughtful, and attentive to every detail.The resort itself felt like heaven on earth. It was breathtaking, spotless, and had every amenity we could possibly need. The rooms were comfortable, charming, and uniquely designed, with a huge bathtub and surrounded by a breathtaking garden with a waterfall right outside our suite. We were also super lucky to catch the cherry blossoms still in bloom, adding to the magical atmosphere. The food was delicious, with beautifully crafted farm-to-table dishes made from local, seasonal produce. The serene, forested location was the perfect backdrop, and the 150-year-old building added a special touch of tradition.If you're considering having a wedding here or just need a holiday escape, don't hesitate—just do it! We can't wait to return to this paradise. Thank you, Nipponia, for making our wedding weekend the best time of our lives!

We had a small wedding at NIPPONIA, and it was the best time of my life. Three magical days filled only with good emotions; each second was surrealistically and actually perfect. The attention to each detail and the genuinely kind people who work there made it unforgettable, I never experienced anything like that. The nature around is stunning, felt like I’m dreaming. Food was also outstanding, they offer traditional local food, very simple yet has its character.When we were leaving, it was time to wake up and I almost cried.Thank you so much NIPPONIA, you will always be in my heart❤️❤️❤️

My wife and I spent two weeks traveling through Japan for our honeymoon. We spent three nights/days at Nipponia in Kosuge Village for the specific reason of relaxing after a week in the busy city of Tokyo. Relaxing and unplugging is exactly what we did, and Nipponia was the perfect place to do so. I'm so pleased we chose this location. The 150 year old Japanese main house was so quaint and perfectly matched our expectations. The service, friendliness, and food served (included in price of stay) for breakfast and dinner exceeded our expectations. A truly amazing experience for us and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who asks. The surrounding village is a quiet place so manage your expectations accordingly, but there are a few ways to pass the time including massages onsite, a traditional onsen nearby, surrounding hikes which are beautiful, and electric bicycles available for use at Nipponia. Thank you Shunya, Hitomi, and everyone else involved in making our experience a beautiful one!

The hotel was great in winter, with beautiful views and a kitchen full of useful tools. I really liked it and plan to go there again. It was comfy and had everything I needed for a nice stay. The views made it special, and the kitchen had everything I needed. I'll definitely be back for another visit

I used it for a family anniversary and to relieve the stress of everyday life. I was happy with the service, which wasn't overdone. The newly started head spa was a very careful treatment by a female therapist, and I was satisfied with both the amount of force used and the content.
