Even if you stay with your loved oneEven if you give it as a gift to someone specialThis is a special inn that will definitely please you.Recommended if you want to enjoy stories and first experiences at a one-of-a-kind inn! However, if you stay overnight, there is a high possibility that you will not be satisfied with other accommodations.Even though it hasn't even been a month yet, my wife is asking, "When can we go again?"``Why I chose this inn''・It's cheap to rent out one building or one group for 60,000 yen including meals for two people.・You can have experiences and meals that can only be done at this inn.・The true location of Lake Hotori・I don't see any value in open-air baths with rooms or Simmons beds.・I wanted to experience the ability that was chosen as Asia's No. 1 hotel during the Yamanakako era.``My impressions after actually staying there''Location →★★★★★It is located on a lake coveRoom & bath→★★★★★Relax in the infinity tea room and water hammockDinner & Breakfast→★★★★★Locally produced and locally consumed creative dishes are all things you'll have to try for the first time.Access→★★★Depending on the route to the inn, the road is narrow.I am a person who dares to enter the extraordinary world by taking a narrow path. The following is a long review, but I will review the details of what I used for one night on 2024-06-06.Since I was the first purchaser on the crowdfunding site MAKUAKE, a nervous Mr. Takamura came to my car to meet me.As you pass by the gazebo nestled in fresh greenery and pass through the gate, you will be guided to a building with a pleasant atmosphere surrounded by firewood. It seems that Mr. Takamura acquired the closed inn and renovated it into the current ``Hotorinite''.I thought it would be difficult to build an inn on the banks of a dam due to licensing issues, but it seems that this encounter and story led to the birth of the new ``Hotorinite.''Since the hotel name was the same when it was in Lake Yamanaka, Google has a mix of old and new reviews, but what I'm going to write now is a review of the latest one, ``Hotorinite'' in Lake Otome.[Guest room]The building is built parallel to the lake so that all rooms face the lake. There are two guest rooms, and a spare room is used when a group of four guests stay.In principle, the inn is limited to one group of two people per day, but they say they can accommodate groups of about four people.I think it would also be a good idea for children to gift this accommodation experience to their parents. There is no clock in the room.Smartphone signal is also bad.How about taking this opportunity to do a digital detox? But don't worry, you can use WI-FI.After completing the minimum necessary contact, open the window and take a deep breath.Let's forget about the hustle and bustle and have fun![Water room]Enter through the ``nijiriguchi'', which resembles a tea room.By bending down and entering, your mood changes. When you lie down on the spacious tatami mat, you will see the large beams made of old wood.A beam that has finished its role in an old private house is now supporting a different type of roof at this inn.Large sashes are always free.Mr. Takamura wanted us to be able to be surrounded by nature outside. The fresh green forest is surprisingly noisy with the rustling of trees and chirping of birds. The noise is so soothing that you forget the time. The art is completed when you place the herbal tea you received on the resin table with a ripple design. It's like the ripples of a leaf falling on Otome Lake.It was a room that felt like a story.[Earth room]This is the room where you eat.The firepower of the fireplace is strong, so the room is warm both morning and night.Meals are served slowly one by one, so if it gets hot during the meal, please open the window.I'm usually a quick eater, but for some reason I didn't get bored in the space with the soothing sound of firewood crackling in the fireplace. There is a stove used for cooking outside the window.Cute earthenware figurines are lined up on the bookshelf in the room, and a story is created that includes the meal.【bathroom】It's more than enough space for two people. This spaciousness is utilized when using a water hammock. This was my first experience, but the fatigue from the trip was blown away! The water hammock itself is a simple thing, but the effect is amazing. It really relaxes me and I want to use it every day. This is a service that can only be made possible because the bathtub is large and the accommodation is limited to one group. It would be dangerous if the two of you ended up sleeping together because it felt so good.Let's enjoy it in moderation.[Apartment]This is the room where various herbs are dried. Each herb has a faint scent, but when many herbs come together, they create a harmonious whole that envelops your whole body. There are two low sofas in the room, so please relax here as well. Many carefully tied herbs hang from the ceiling, soothing not only the nose but also the eyes.I find strong artificial scents stressful, but the strong herbal scent was comforting.【meal】All of our dishes are delicious, using local ingredients and herbs. This is a dish that should not be categorized as anything. If I had to say, I would say it feels like Japanese food has taken on a serious challenge to French cuisine.I don't like French cuisine.I feel like I'm taking too much time and effort and sacrificing the flavor of the ingredients. If French cuisine is a positive cuisine that makes full use of complex techniques and sauces, I think Japanese cuisine is a negative cuisine that eliminates unnecessary things. So I think it's nonsense to compare, but I purposely express it because I want to convey what kind of food it is.The dishes created by his wife, who is said to love cooking, all have a gentle flavor. However, it's not that it's unsatisfying, it's just an exquisite seasoning.I don't like raw fish, but the trout sashimi was delicious. The first rock mushroom I received was my first time eating it, and even though it was fried crispy, when it mixed with saliva in my mouth, the crunchiness returned.I felt the vitality of its 100-year life in its strength.I understood why it was a Shugendo dish and was also valued as a medicine.I won't post photos of the dishes to avoid spoilers, but I will post photos of the menu. Please think of this as the title of the story rather than the name of the dish. The food will delight your five senses, so please check in with an empty stomach.[Location]This is an inn built on the banks of Japan's highest multipurpose dam.If you walk along the side of the inn, you can reach the tip of the dam's cape. The lake is said to be completely frozen in winter.I also wanted to see the quiet forest, which is different from summer. You can see the lake through the gaps in the trees from every room.If you're lucky, you can see deer gathering near the water. On a clear night, you can see a starry sky regardless of the season.Spring is cherry blossoms and wild vegetablesFresh greenery and moss in summerAutumn is colored leavesSnow and ice in winterYou can enjoy it in different ways in each season.[Activity]I was worried, but I decided to experience the "Moss Kingdom".It is so beautiful that you would not doubt it even if you were told that it was the forest where the location scout for Princess Mononoke came.A customer who spent 9 hours to see Yakusugi said that it was "more amazing than Yakushima", and I can understand!I live in the least populated village in Nagano Prefecture, so I'm picky about mountains, but I was surprised by this fluffy moss.I wanted to take a photo with the echo on the moss (^^;)[For those considering staying for consecutive nights]If you have the money, we recommend staying for multiple nights. You won't be able to fully enjoy this inn in just one night. For example, when it comes to cooking, there are over 200 types of food in stock on the menu.So if you are rich, you can stay for 100 nights (^_^;)Apparently there are activities and secret menus for repeat customers. So I'll work hard and aim to stay for two nights next time!【lastly】If you are reading this long review, I think you are seriously looking for a place to stay.I think especially for people like that, but it's hard to find an inn that you want to go to again, right? And the number of attractive accommodations that people actually take action to visit again becomes even fewer. When deciding where to stay, you would normally first decide on sightseeing spots. However, once you experience ``Hotorinite'', you'll want to stay here, so where should you go sightseeing? It becomes. However, I learned this time that such matters can be resolved by consulting with Mr. Takamura. When I told them that I didn't have any plans after checking out, they came up with a plan and suggested it to me while I was busy. When I actually went there, I found all the sightseeing spots that I liked, and after visiting them all, I headed back home. Therefore, I will consult with Mr. Takamura the next time I stay.[To Mr. Takamura]Thank you for letting me spend a wonderful time yesterday. The plan you proposed was perfect and we were able to fully enjoy Kofu without wasting anything. It was a pretty good experience, but I would like to suggest the following to make your stay more comfortable next time.1: I would like a small fan to be installed in the changing room. The bath is large and comfortable, so you can easily take a long bath.If that happens, people like me who sweat a lot won't be able to get rid of the sweat...I panicked and fanned myself with a bath towel because it was almost time for dinner, but I still couldn't get the sweat to go away.It doesn't have to be big as the water will cool down.I would be happy if you could place a small electric fan or circulator.2: I would like the hot water supply from the spout to stop after a while after taking a bath. It's nice to have hot water coming out of the spout and feel like you're in a hot spring, but when you open the window and try to relax in the bath while enjoying the fresh air, the sound of the water gushing out becomes a hindrance. You can't hear the murmur of the river or the sounds of insects because of the roar. So, I may be selfish, but I would appreciate it if you could turn off the hot water supply after 10 to 20 minutes of bathing.Since the amount of hot water is large, I don't think you need to worry about how quickly the water cools down. From an eco-friendly perspective, I can't bear to waste fuel in such a wonderful environment. We would appreciate it if you could consider considering the opinions of other customers.Until we meet again!

I came across it by chance on my way back from Oyaru Pass on my road bike. Although there was no signboard or anything, the building had a very atmospheric atmosphere, making me wonder what this place was all about. I finally stayed there, but I can only think of it as a coincidence of fate. I realized that there are so many wonderful things that I can't tell you everything about them.

I have traveled to many countries and stayed at many hotels, but Hotrinite is without a doubt the best. The owners, the Takamura family, are a wonderful family, full of kindness and warm hospitality. It also has a warm atmosphere that makes your heart flutter, just like when you visited your grandfather's house when you were a child. Although it is old, you can tell that each piece has been taken care of with care. I believe that the reason we have received so many positive reviews from overseas travelers is entirely due to Mr. Takamura's personality. This is an important inn that I don't want to disappear forever, but I am heartbroken to hear that due to circumstances, the inn will be closed by the end of the year. Such a wonderful accommodation. I can't help but hope that somehow I can protect it. Please do your best, Mr. Takamura.May 2023I was able to go to the long-awaited Hotrinite Otome Lake.I've been looking forward to this time ever since the lights at Lake Yamanaka went out.It has been reborn as a wonderful inn built by a family. Every piece of furniture and lamp is a warm inn filled with the Takamura family's thoughts.I have never experienced such excellent hospitality anywhere else. Hidden deep in the mountainsWe highly recommend this inn to adult travelers who want to enjoy the beautiful starry sky and the quiet forest.

These pictures are from a hotel in Yamanakako. I used to love that place but unfortunately they closed years ago. I wish the best to the Hotorinite family! Why are these pictures at another address? The hotel does not exist there!

It was wonderful, I had the best time. The hospitality I felt at Hotrinite was something that cannot be described as "hospitality" that anyone would think of.Thanks to Google Maps for pointing me to this place.I can't write more about it because if it becomes too popular, I'll have trouble making reservations. Well, that's it.
