We had a wonderful stay at this charming and friendly temple ryokan. It feels like a timeless gateway between the urban sprawl of Fukuoka and the lush Kyushu countryside.We had some delicious desserts with beautiful views in the cafe before checking into our room. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, healthy and beautifully presented. The bathing area is clean and relaxing, and is used one group at a time. We recommend taking a walk around the temple grounds and the neighborhood. Very atmospheric and beautiful. The building is quite rustic, but we liked the charm.The proprietor and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We wished we had stayed longer.It is within walking distance from Chikuzen Yamate station, though there is no elevator at the station, which is a few stories above street level.

Had a wonderful time at this inn. The nature around is absolutely breathtaking and you can go explore. The owner is so cute and sweet. Would love to come back on a future visit.

Introduced in Sasaguri Tourist GuideI received a flyer saying that the Makunouchi bento box meal was recommended.When I called, it was a weekday, so was it udon?The reply was that they could only prepare curry.Makunouchi bento must be reserved in advance.There is also a lodging house, with washing machines, baths, etc.there was

Stayed for a night here and wished it was longer. The inn is very clean and tidy, and the surrounding is beautiful with all the maple leaves. The owner and staff is very helpful although their english is very limited (just use google translate and everything is fine). They serve a vegetarian breakfast and it was so good in so many ways.

The food is made with love and is very delicious.I received it.The futon was fluffy and I slept well.I quickly took a bath and relaxed. (Family bath)The fatigue from mountain climbing was healed.

I only visited for lunch, but since it's attached to a temple, it seems like you could spend the night there as if you were staying in a lodging.You can also enjoy touring the grounds. I would definitely like to stay there sometime.

We liked everything about this wonderful traditional ryokan. It is so much better than the photos.Located just twenty minutes by train east of Fukuoka, it is nestled in a valley surrounded by forested mountains with cool clean air and nature.It is kept in perfect condition by its friendly and welcoming proprietors.Her food is amazing.You should take her breakfasts and dinners too because they are beautifully crafted from seasonal ingredients mostly grown in her garden.The bath is super clean and wonderful at the end of a hiking day.This is a true find, with traditional tatami mats rooms, airy, spacious and delicious meals, all at a bargain price. Highly recommended

한국인분들 제가 보장합니다 여기 무조건가세여!!I was searching around Nanjoin on Google, and I happened to visit an accommodation As a result It was the best accommodation I've ever been to!The owner looked after the guest carefully and was kind. The unique atmosphere of Japan is really wonderful and it is very beautiful because it is nature-friendly. And the dinner and breakfast were touchingly elaborate and delicious. I'd like to visit again if I have a chance.If you want to experience something new in Fukuoka, you will be satisfied if you visit this accommodation

It felt like a place between an inn and my parents' house, and even though it was my first time there, I felt a sense of security...I had a very pleasant time.Traditional Japanese rooms are rustic in a good way. The views of temples and trains from the window add color to the time you spend in your room.The food was also great.

This is a Temple stay ryokan- traditional Japanese inn located in Sasaguri, Fukuoka Japan in Kyushu. It’s a small temple inn run by the priest and his parents. The inn is old and you really get the experience of staying in a traditional Japanese temple inn. The priest and his family do so much to make guests comfortable and welcome! We have never felt more welcome any place we’ve stayed in Japan. We feel so blessed to have found this place.It’s old- don’t expect a new building- but that’s part of the experience. You will have an authentic Japanese inn experience here complete with onsen style bath which is shared with other guests ( you reserve your bath time) so be prepared for that BUT what a wonderful experience! Male and female are baths are separated. There are no showers/ toilets in the room.. it’s traditional Japanese style!! A unique experience!The food is delicious- mostly vegetarian and fish. It’s a temple so you’ll be served healthy food!You’ll sleep on traditional Japanese futons and use traditional style pillows. The pillows are “hard” and filled with rice husks - a bit of a challenge to sleep on if you aren’t used to it so I suggest bringing a travel pillow.The inn is set in a forest- Sasaguri is a certified Shinrin Yoku base! It’s peaceful, stunningly beautiful and every other good word I can think of.I can’t say anything negative about this place. The owners are humble and kind people and we will come here again and again!Additionally- the rates per person include dinner and breakfast. For this trip we paid 8,500 yen per person.

Lunch was quite delicious. An elegant arrangement that is colorful, beautiful, and seasonal. And the volume. It's great to be able to enjoy so many delicious ingredients in one meal. It was a good quality meal.It was seasoned so that even my one and a half year old son could eat it without any worries. It was helpful to be able to borrow children's tableware and toys.The customer service was also very pleasant, and everyone was kind to my son, which I was grateful for.I'm sorry for staying too long because I was relaxing in the Japanese-style room!I thought it was rare that I would like to go there again.
