Rina and Shun are my best friend's in Japan :) I am excited to see them and how their family has grown when I return with my boyfriend! I didn't know people could be so accepting and trustworthy. I will continue to couch surf more after this experience. I am a little shy but they are both outgoing so there will be fun conversation haha. They are not near the city but it is nice to be around nature for a while even if you like to party haha. The mountains are beautiful and there was a beach within walking distance with photo opportunities haha. And there is a scuba diving shop next door to their house if you are into that. I was very tired from my flights so I decided to skip that for now. I am so grateful for them taking me in. I will email today!! Go meet these lovely and interesting people :)

I came across a glamping house while wondering how to spend a three-day weekend with bad weather. It was a great decision to make a reservation, but it was a waste to only stay for one night. It was a place that made me want to stay overnight. The service from the time I made the reservation was very thorough, and I was given advance notice via email, so even though it was my first time using the hotel, I was able to spend my time with peace of mind. When you enter the front door, you'll feel excited as the interior is filled with the excitement of a secret base. It also has a nice handmade feel to it, which increases the sense of unity among families as they create their own day. I was able to have a relaxing and enjoyable time.For shopping, use Aeon Itoshima, which is about a 20 minute drive. There's also a hardware store, DAISO, next door, so you can get just about anything.

Rina & Shun’s guesthouse is the coolest place to stay in and around Fukuoka. Their house is renovated in a really original style and feels super cozy. As a foreigner, you can experience the laidback style of living, listening to the waves from the sea. Rina & Shun are amazing hosts, so kind and generous, we are so grateful for all their help during our stay. It’s great to know we have new friends in Fukuoka and hopefully through our daughters, we will be in touch for many years to come.Super highly recommended!!!
