Visited on August 21, 2024.We will be driving on a narrow road that will make you feel sad.Along the way, there is a fork in the road, and if you go to the right, you will see a signboard pointing towards Uenshiri Central Trailhead, and on the right, you will see a signboard for Uenshiri Campsite. Also, when driving on a narrow road, it suddenly opens (^^;.Since it was a weekday, there was no one there.Solo camping here is likely to be a battle with yourself (^^;.I think you will be attacked by fear of bears, fear of being alone, fear of pitch black darkness, and fear of not being able to connect to your cell phone (^^;.I think it's a good test of courage.I think you'll find yourself feeling more confident the next morning (^^;.I feel like I can see the stars beautifully at night. Please observe good manners and enjoy camping.

From here, 3km away and 700m above sea level, you will reach Mt. Uenshiri.Ice tunnels are seriously dangerous, so it's best to never climb up to the top (in fact, it doesn't matter how close you are). It falls into a cavity and gets sucked in. This is especially dangerous in the spring when it is difficult to see shapes in the snow.

I visited here about 13 years ago in the summer of 2006 while touring. It's located in front of this campsite. I went there to see the ice tunnel. There was a warning on the signboard back then, but I wonder if it's not allowed to enter now. There is an ice tunnel about 10 minutes walk from the campsite parking lot.Arrive nearby. I tried not to get too close, butEven so, the cool air covered the entire area, and the whole area was cool. . It felt like it wasn't even 10 degrees Celsius. It seems that some people use this place as a base for mountain climbing. Also, there were people doing FlyFishing in the river, which intrigued me.Fishing is also one of my pleasures, so I would definitely like to visit again. However, we still need to take precautions against bears.

The site space is spacious. For those looking for nothing, there is nothing at all. For the time being, for toilet and evacuation purposes? There is only one hut. Is it better to think of it as a base for people who basically climb mountains?

Free, no manager, toilet available, no running water. No convenience store or hot spring nearbyBe sure to bring water. There is a free hangarow, and if you use it, you should clean it.There is a sign on the site warning of bears, but since the campsite is located in a primeval forest, it cannot be guaranteed that bears will not appear, so be sure to manage your food carefully.
