This is an enjoyable observatory located at the end of Hoshi no Furusato Park. The observatory is attached to a hotel, and only guests staying at the hotel are not allowed to enter the hotel, but they can enter the observatory, planetarium, and shop.If you buy a ticket, you can enter the observatory corner and the view is spectacular. The planetarium also has screenings every hour and can be enjoyed at a reasonable price. It was convenient because it was a short walk from the parking lot.

I went in the afternoon and was able to see Beka, Antares, and the moon through a large telescope. Also, sunspots outdoors. There were small science museum-like exhibits and a souvenir corner (including JAXA goods), so I had a lot of fun with the kids.Next time, I would like to stay at a small hotel and watch the stars at night.

Although it was before the rainy season, I stayed at a small hotel with 100cm and 65cm telescopes, which is a dream come true for astronomy fans.Guests will be guided using the large telescope inside the dome from 22:00.The 100cm telescope is under maintenance.2024.7 Completed in May. The hotel also has a bath, and there is also a hot spring nearby. It's locked at night, so you can't use your car's telescope, but you can use your camera and tripod on the roof to observe. There is also a recliner in the room. There are plenty of astronomical books, and you can take them to your room to read. It's a wonderful environment where you can only hear the voices of birds.

For just a few hundred dollars, you get an unforgettable experience. The room is very comfortable, the sunrise and sunset are beautiful, and the staff at the planetarium all add up to better service than five weeks.

Accommodation is available in private suites or single capsules. This time I stayed in a space capsule (that is, a single-person capsule). The entire space is independent from other suites. When the lights are turned off, the entire room will be illuminated by fluorescent stars, which is super beautiful. The accommodation is mainly on the 2F. You have to climb stairs and there is no elevator. A large room can accommodate a total of 6 people. It is divided into a small room for 2 people and a small room for 4 people. There are basic small refrigerators, hot water kettles and personal lockers. The bathroom is downstairs, and the shower and toilet are separate. This time I booked the entire room ~ Chain stores are a bit lazy xDIf you stay, there will be videos and telescope introductions in the evening. The place where you watch movies is a bit like a smaller version of the three-dimensional theater in Taichung Science Museum. The chairs are single-seat and you can lie back, and you can see the 360-degree starry sky above your head. There are two videos to choose from, one is a Japanese version that introduces tonight’s starry sky (a simple introduction to planets and constellations), and the other is an English version that introduces the sun (the importance of the sun, nuclear fusion, etc.). Each video lasts about 15 minutes. Maybe because the venue is reserved, the staff asked me to watch both. It is recommended to choose the starry sky tonight, because the rest of the itinerary mainly uses the two existing telescopes of the planetarium to let you see the starry sky tonight (but the weather must be good enough). It happened to be raining and foggy that day. Although the rain stopped in the evening, the overall visibility was still very low. However, the staff were super nice and they still opened the zenith to let me see the actual operation of the telescope, and also let me see the celestial objects captured by the telescope. , star clusters, nebulae. The event started at 9:30 pm, and I finished watching both videos at about 10:00. I’m not sure how long the introduction process will take, but I talked until 12:00 that day. The staff were very enthusiastic about the introduction. I really recommend it. For those who are interested, it doesn’t matter if you don’t speak Japanese. We can communicate very smoothly through translators. The next day’s breakfast was a Japanese bento, which was surprisingly delicious. The whole experience was great~

On the way, we stopped by the planetarium and had the experience of looking at the sun and daytime stars through a large telescope.I was able to have a valuable experience for 700 yen as a set.
