Not only was the exterior of the historic building of the metal fittings shop splendid, but I was also impressed by the beautiful Karuizawa-bori furniture in the room I stayed at at Saigetsuro. The staff at the inn were very polite and made me feel comfortable. If time allowed, I would have loved to take a bath in the beautiful stained glass romantic bath many times. I would like to visit again.

I visited on a snowy day in the middle of winter.Rumored to have been the inspiration for Spirited Away, the exterior is beautiful, and the hallways have a great atmosphere as well. The tour inside the facility was also fun. There are hot springs scattered throughout the hotel, and while you're looking for the next one, the water will get cold, and then you'll warm up again in the next bath. That's also good.I have fond memories of strolling around the hot spring town in the pouring rain after dinner, looking for sake and snacks for an evening drink. Then, you will be greeted by a beautiful illuminated inn.

I stayed at Saiyuerou 206 Horaiken.I was moved by witnessing the best techniques of shrine carpenters and learned a lot about pillars, ceilings, lintel materials, etc. This is also an inn I would like to stay at.

The tangible cultural properties are amazing, but the service is the worst! You’re sitting cross-legged on cultural assets! I will not repeat! It must be the manager's fault 👎I went to Dogo Onsen, Ginzan Onsen, Aburaya Ryokan, Sekizenkan, and the Spirited Away inn, but compared to the other inns, it's a shame! I think it's okay to stay at another inn and just take a photo of the metal fittings shop! ︎

As others have written, I wanted to go there once, but there is no repeat.I don't like the attitude of the cashier or the way they respond to calls after checking out.Not suitable for the elderly or those with weak legs.As for the meal, the Shinshu beef shabu-shabu for dinner was delicious and the portion was huge.
