I went to the free site behind the cottage, which is only open from July to August. You can enter as much as you like in the Toge no Yu on the premises. The site was covered in grass and was bitten by insects. At night, the lights from the cottage's BBQ area were dazzling. Even if you use a solo tent, there is a one-line fee. I used the restroom in the adjacent gymnasium, and it was clean.

Accommodates 4 people. It was a beautiful cottage that still looked new. The entrance is beyond the wooden deck from the parking lot. There are sandals inside the room, so you have to take off your shoes, but there is no door, so you have to leave the door open to change your shoes. I'm a little worried about insects getting in. There is no bath, only a shower, and the toilet is equipped with a washlet. As a special benefit for staying guests, you can use the on-site Toge-no-Yu hot spring as many times as you like. The check-out date is also OK. It opens at 10am, so I can't really take a bath in the morning, but that's a blessing.Upon check-in, we will lend you clean and sterilized teacups and plates. There were also disposable chopsticks. The kitchen is equipped with dish detergent and sponges. There is a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, kettle (no teapot or tea leaves), and rice cooker. There is hand soap in the bathroom, but no tissue paper, and there is no soap in the shower room. Bring it if you need it. The website states that towels are available for rental, but all towels are purchased. There is no TV.It's like renting a cottage, so you make your own bed. Before checking out, place all used sheets in a large translucent bag.Of course, I will also take out the trash. Waste is separated into three types: bottles, cans, and others. Plastic bottles are another type of binding. The collection point was difficult to find and was located behind the administrative building. I couldn't find any guidance. There are various things written in the explanatory document about precautions, but I think it would be more helpful to write about garbage in a visible place around the trash can. I was worried about sorting plastic bottles. The managers were all very kind, including answering the phone when making reservations, so I was able to have a comfortable stay. It's a quiet and very nice place.

Thank you for staying with me for three nights. The building is beautiful, but it's modern. There was no shower/toilet, no TV, and it was a cottage, but it was unexpected. Reservations were made by phone only, payments were made in cash, and even if I made a reservation, they didn't send me a letter and only called me to confirm. I felt like I had traveled back in time, but the staff... He was very kind. There were a lot of insects during my stay.

I used it for Golden Week! It was a very nice accommodation according to the reviews. The room was well appointed, clean, and the staff were friendly. We had a 4-year-old toddler with us, and there were plenty of fun spots within walking distance, such as feeding the carp in the beautiful pond near the cottage, playing table tennis in the hot water on the mountain pass, and playing in the small children's park. I had a great time. The Toge no Yu restaurant had a children's udon set. There is a restaurant with tatami mats and a trolley track running right in front of it, so I think children who like trains will be happy. Although I didn't use it this time, it seems that there are private rooms and family baths available for rent. By the way, guests can receive a 3-hour free ticket to Toge no Yu for the number of people staying at the hotel, and towels can be purchased at Toge no Yu.Those using the trolley must pay an admission fee to the Railway Culture Village, but even so, the quality is very good for the price!I have summarized what I felt after going there. Please read this as a reference only as it is my personal opinion.☆Notes・There are stairs and a fireplace inside the room, so those staying with infants will need to be careful and take precautions.☆Things you need to bring・Hair dryer (possibly available for rent. Unconfirmed)・Small box tissue・Towel for wiping hands in the wash basin☆Convenient to have・Sandals for outside wear・Kitchen paper・For those with small children, extra pair of socks + 1 pair・100 yen coin☆ Items that were prepared in advance and were helpful・Cleaning tools such as brooms·slippers・Foam type hand soap・Large garbage bag・Writer (for BBQ)・Outdoor chairs and tables that can be used for BBQ☆Things that were actually okay even if I didn’t bring them・Towel for bathing *Because it was available for purchase at Touge no Yu.
