Thank you for your help with accommodation and caving! It's a girls' trip with my otaku friends. Since we were going to stay on an island that wasn't a tourist destination, and where we could get a glimpse of life in a tropical country, I talked with my friend about staying at a place that felt like a guesthouse, but also a little luxurious, and decided to go sightseeing on Okinoerabu Island. When I contacted the association directly by phone, they introduced me to this site. I made a reservation about a month in advance, but since it was the spring tourist season, I couldn't get a weekend reservation, so I made a reservation on a weekday. After about 7 hours on a ferry from mainland Okinawa, we drove a rented car while feeling exhausted, and arrived in the evening. We were greeted by a kind couple and guided to a residence for the night. I chatted with the couple for a while as they filled out the necessary paperwork. Since this is a great opportunity, I would like to hear many stories from local people! That was my desire, so it was a very meaningful and enjoyable time (thank you for your precious time). Surprisingly, the dinner was homemade by my husband, and every dish was delicious. I'm a picky eater, but I really enjoyed the mild seasoning and the freshness of local cuisine. I was especially addicted to the fluffy texture of the egg dishes and the mellowness of the deep-fried soki! The menu changes daily, but I'd like to try some of the other menu items someday. I was very satisfied with the homemade breakfast the next morning. I felt that she was particular about the dishes and glasses, and when I asked her, she told me that her husband had chosen them. The mansion we stayed in was very comfortable, and while it had the charm of an old folk house, the water areas such as the bath and washroom had a modern and stylish design, and any scene would look great in a photo. Ta. The cool sound of a window bell played on the verandah, and we were able to spend a peaceful spring evening feeling the warm night breeze of a tropical country, and the otaku conversation reached its climax. The next morning, I went caving at Rimstone Cave, which is for beginners, with the husband of the hostess as a guide (I applied for this together when I made my accommodation reservation). Caving had an image of being harsh, but it was so difficult that even I, who works at a desk all year round, was able to return home safely without giving up. We were provided with a wet suit for caving, jumpsuits to wear over the top, and shoes, which we wore inside the mansion where we stayed. After that, I followed my husband's car in a rental car and headed to the cave. We borrowed a helmet and light from the parking lot in front of the entrance, and entered the cave. I have visited several limestone caves that are open to the public as tourist spots, but I never imagined that diving through the darkness with a small group of people relying on their own lights could be so thrilling and exciting. I couldn't imagine it. Of course, thanks to the guide's husband leading the way and providing thorough follow-up and explanations, I was able to proceed safely to the end even as a woman alone. I was very grateful that they allowed me frequent breaks and time to take photos instead of walking all the time. During that time, my husband, who knows the best points, took dozens of the most emotional photos by making good use of the light. (These things are just trivial when you look at the spectacular scenery in the background.) The photos we took were sent to us via Airdrop after caving. I still can't forget the elation I felt when I saw the lit-up Rimstone Pool at the final stop. I couldn't help but feel lonely, thinking, ``I'll never be able to experience this feeling again unless I erase my memory.'' I don't think you can experience the luxury of being able to have the mysterious and spectacular scenery all to yourself in a world cut off from the earth. I was forced to think deeply about coexistence with this mystery of nature. This hobby is highly recommended for those who want to feel the hidden majesty of nature with their own skin, or for those who don't want to burn their skin or get bitten by insects, but still want the most photogenic scenery! (When you bend over, you'll be submerged in water up to your shoulders, so don't forget to bring a waterproof case for your smartphone!) This is definitely the only place where you can go on a water slide at Rimstone, which has a long history. He took a slomo video of me and I laughed out loud afterwards). It was the best girls trip! I will definitely go again!
