Emotional space. A hostel with a cozy Kyoto vibe. It was hard to find tasteful details at this price, but I was satisfied the moment I visited. Although the space is shared, there is a spacious bathroom and you have to walk a bit from the station, but the surroundings are safe and peaceful.

It was a very clean room and common area. The staff is very friendly and there is a convenience store within a short walk. Since it's near the central market, you can see things you don't usually see.

Hibari hostel was exactly what we were looking for. Friendly, simple accomodations. Yusuke was friendly and helpful throughout the whole process, going out of his way to serve us. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who wants a minimalist hotel experience who doesn't mind some extra walking.

I stayed here for one night. The noise level is not for human beings to sleep. If you have high tolerance to noise. This place is for you.Owner became aggressive and called me “Selfish” and “Chinese” for wanting to use the bath tub, advertised on his Airbnb both with pictures and in writing. He put up a sign “do not touch” on his bath tub.I asked for extra pillow to no avail, also advertised on Airbnb.I didn’t ask for any other amenities. Try your luck which one he wants to charge you extra. (He wanna charge me 500 yen per use of his bath tub.)Evidence is attached in case he tried to lie.

Stay from this place if you want a good sleep!! Too much noise all night and the ear plug doesn't help at all. The host got bad attitude, harass my wife and even try to scam us for a bathtub where we need to pay extra, but it doesn't mention anywhere on the website.

We took the Annex room. Its basically a closet with tatami Mats - but pretty good for the price. The lobby and sanitary facilities are good and clean.I have to deduct one Star though because the WiFi is really weak in our room.

It is one stop from Kyoto Station and has great access to sightseeing. I stayed in a room on the first floor, and the noise didn't bother me, the room, toilet, and bath were clean, and everything I needed was there, so I felt relaxed. Since it is close to the market, there are many delicious restaurants, so it is recommended for long-term stays.

Two women stayed in a twin room on the first floor. It was clean and had a relaxing, Showa retro, nostalgic atmosphere. A refrigerator and microwave are also available in the common space. I fell in love with the unique atmosphere of this inn.
