The women's bath only had one bathtub and was warm. The mixed bathing had a better reputation, and although there were male customers, I didn't mind and took a bath.I was having a normal mixed bath while talking to customers who seemed to be regulars with a strong accent. The men's bath (mixed bath) has 3 bathtubs and you can choose the temperature. The atmosphere was great and the quality of the spring water was great!I decided to become a fan and keep going. If you don't mind mixed bathing, I highly recommend it!postscriptI confused a first-time male customer that I ran into in the men's changing room (sorry), but he asked me where to pay, so I'll write about it here.If you go a little further towards the side labeled "Women's Bath", you will find a tray at the unmanned reception desk, where you put money. You can also take your own change from there.Write down the number of people and the price on your notepad. There are no locked lockers, so please leave your valuables in your car.I didn't use the showers in the women's baths because I shampooed and washed my body in Nikori-no-Yu, but I remember that there were not many of them.I remember that there was no hair dryer in the women's bath either. Women may want to call to confirm if they can bring their own hair dryer and if they can use an outlet before going. There was no shower in the men's bath, just a hose, and there was no built-in mirror, just a small desk mirror.Regular customers used tubs of hot water from the bathtub to shampoo their hair. Also, mixed bathing is possible, but I think it's good etiquette to greet someone ahead of you in the men's bath.If you don't like mixed bathing, wait until there are no male customers. It was worth it for the wonderful sense of solitude. There are many ashtrays inside the building, making it a paradise for smokers.

I was prepared to some extent based on the reviews here, but I was even more surprised by the retro building.I actually wanted to take a mixed bath, but there was a customer in front of me, so I waited for about an hour for someone to come out, but there was no sign of anyone coming out, so I gave up and went to the women's bath. It's a simple bath with only one bathtub, but the hot water is good.It wasn't that hot, but I was sweating. This is a unique hot spring with an oily smell. There were insects in both the changing room and the bathroom, which was a problem. But the hot water is really great.

The bath had a great atmosphere like a bare dugout. It was so hot that I had a hard time getting into it, but once I got used to it, I was able to get in.The host of the inn was full of hospitality, and we had a drink together at dinner.I was impressed by how delicious the bear tsukudani was.I was asked to come again next year, but I couldn't go, so I would definitely like to visit again next year.

It was a wonderful hot spring that is irresistible for secret hot spring lovers. I think it will be difficult to maintain. We hope that as many customers as possible will visit and that it will continue for a long time.

I go there every day. It seems like everyone is having a hard time adjusting the water temperature. As you enter, a 76°C hot spring is drawn in from the back left. Use stones and socks in the passageway to adjust the flow rate to whichever of the two bathtubs in the back you prefer. If it's too hot, step on multiple sock dams to reduce the flow rate and dilute it with tap water. If the water is lukewarm, we will construct a dam so that the water flows only into that bathtub. Instead of Karan, just take two cups of hot spring water from the spring water tank in a square bathtub, pour the tap water next to it into a blue box, and blend one cup from there into the basin. The hot spring water tank is also used for drinking. The efficacy of drinking (internal use) is posted above the dressing room window (made in the 1930s). The Yumori watches over and manages it.Turn right at the ruins of Nigorikawa Elementary School, which was closed in 2023, and you will see a geothermal power plant in the mountains on the right side of the rice field road to Shineikan. Although the caldera was created by an ancient eruption, the magma chamber is still active.
