I really enjoyed my stay here! The room was very spacious and clean. I do have one caveat, the shower had a mild mildew smell but wasn’t terrible. What made my stay here absolutely amazing is the customer service! Tomo at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful! He truly went above and beyond. I had mistakenly lost my camera charger at my previous hotel and he contacted them immediately and gave them my friend’s name whom could pick it up. I did not have to lift a finger. Thank you for such a pleasant experience to the staff and especially Tomo!!!

The hotel is like a 2-star one or even a motel, super small room and poor facilities. They can be easily fully booked so don’t expect a good upgrade even you are diamond members.

I thought it was amazing how the front staff worked so hard to accommodate customers from other countries. However, when Japanese people go there, the culture is different from that of people from other countries, so they may feel overwhelmed. It seems that things that are not considered acceptable in Japan tend to be ignored here, such as people waiting with large amounts of luggage at the small reception desk and people leaving children running around unattended.During the morning buffet time, there was a foreigner next to me who was wearing a strong perfume, so it was quite painful...It's not the hotel's fault, it's probably a condensation of the current travel scene in Japan. and.As for the message to the hotel, it was disappointing that the room was not cleaned thoroughly, perhaps because it was busy. I was disappointed that there was hair lying in a visible area of the sink. The cookie service and bottled water feel special and fun.Although it is small, it has plenty of facilities and is not difficult to use.Even though it's part of the Hilton chain, you might want to think that it's a little different from the regular Hilton.

Hello, my mom and I stayed at this hotel from 3Oct-5Oct. I would like to commend Joseph for being the most hospitable receptionist. My mom had an accident and Joseph made an extra effort to call clinics and hospital. He even helped us borrow a wheelchair. And since the accident happened, we had to dine inside the hotel and were served by Kaoru —who was very hospitable and nice as well! At night, I drank at the bar and was greeted by Madhu— who served and recommended local drinks. :)Overall, very pleasant experience!

One of the best Hilton I have stayed. All the staff in the reception speaks very well English. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t get upgrade due to holiday period but the staff did explained and apologies and I totally understand. However the deluxe room is pretty nice and there is a ‘hot spring’ in the hotel which really helps relaxing when you have done more than 30k walk exploring Kyoto. The hotel is just 2 mins walk from a nearby train station. Breakfast is good and all the staff are very polite. Overall it’s a good quality hotel which I think are better than some of the actual Hilton hotels that I have stayed before.

I've always visited Japan only in Tokyo, but this time I was planning to visit Osaka and also stayed in nearby Kyoto for one night, so I visited the DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama hotel last week.We are a family of three, myself, my wife, and a daughter who is in middle school. We always stay in a suite with a separate living room. When I searched on the Internet before traveling, I found out that this hotel was opened last year, so I expected it to be relatively clean, and above all, it was a hotel. I made a reservation because the size of the suite I checked on the website seemed to be more spacious than other hotels.Since it was my first visit to Kyoto, I had to visit the most famous temple, Kiyomizu-dera, and the location of this hotel seemed to make it possible to get to the temple on foot. When I arrived in Kyoto, the hotel was located about 10 minutes by taxi from Kyoto Station, and the entrance to Cheongsui Temple was about 15 to 20 minutes on foot, so the location was satisfactory. What was most surprising was that the suite we booked was located on the 7th floor, the highest level of the hotel, and had a fairly large sauna in the room.I have visited many hotels while traveling to many countries, but this was the first hotel that was so spacious and had such great sauna facilities in the room.Due to the nature of the trip, there was a lot of walking, so my legs were especially tired, but when I returned to the hotel and used the sauna, the fatigue from the trip was relieved at once. All facilities, including the bed, living room, and bathroom, were perfect, and the friendly staff made it possible to have a pleasant and comfortable stay. The only thing that was disappointing was that I didn't know about this and made a reservation for only one night, so I had to check out the next day to travel to Osaka.I think I will have to visit again in October when the weather gets a little cooler and the fall leaves turn pretty.^^

We truly enjoyed our stay as HH members, hotel staff was really welcoming and helpful. Our tatami style room was spacious enough to compare to the overall room sizes in Japan, room was also very clean and bright. …
