Some people may be concerned about the noise in the toilet. I thought it would be even better if there was a deodorant.Also, there are two shower booths, and the one in front is the sink right in front of you, so it might be better for women to use the back.I also appreciate that shampoo, body shampoo, and conditioner are provided.A toothbrush is a must-have.You will also receive one towel per day.Also, the food is served bento style, so I'm thankful that I can eat it anywhere, even at the beach.However, be careful as there are many mosquitoes in the evening.Dinner includes ginger grilled meat, butter chicken curry, and taco rice. In the morning, I have muffins and fruit, which is an image of an upgraded in-flight meal.Although it's not Okinawan cuisine, the quantity was very satisfying!Also, the only water available is tap water (Aka Island's water comes from a seawater desalination plant, so it's delicious), so I recommend buying drinks at a nearby store and storing them in the shared refrigerator.I think it's best to buy alcohol, drinks, sweets, etc. for your stay at Max Value near Tomarin!In addition, you can rent a bicycle for 1000 yen per day.I was grateful.Lastly, I think this is the perfect place for those who want to spend their time on a remote island in a simple style.Wake up in the morning, eat dinner, bike to Nishihama and Aka Beach, explore the island, come home, relax in the bathtub in your swimsuit, eat dinner, and go see the stars...This is an inn where you can live a simple life.It's especially good for people who don't like staying at a guesthouse where everyone eats from 0:00 onwards, or paying attention to those around them.Meals are served every 20 minutes for two groups.Overall, it was great. Coming from America, this place felt very much like camping out in a room. For anyone truly here for the snorkeling and diving, that’s probably fine. For a couple of senior citizens from Ohio this type of hotel was an adjustment.In its favor, we dealt with a very pleasant manager. She was kindness itself to the degree that she could be. The whole place was so clean; she scrubbed and disinfected daily in a way American hotels could take lessons from. We are not accustomed to communal bathrooms with public sinks, but the cleanliness of those facilities was never a problem.

Nice place, nice owners. But I have a major issue with the price of using the snorkels 1000円?! Those things cost like 3000円 to buy MAX and they have probably been reused easily over 100 times. Turning 3000円 into 10万円 is something warren buffet would struggle to do, but the owners have managed it. Also having to leave money for a little sachet of coffee in the morning is a bit hmmm 🥱🥱 めんどくさい . Other than that nice place

Although there are many lodging facilities on this small island, there are many Japanese-style, or what is commonly called, "minshuku type" accommodations, but "Hanamuro" is rather a simple hotel with the bare minimum. A European-American style lodging lodge. Perhaps for that reason, I hear that many foreigners stay here. The room is small, but bright and air conditioned. It is always well-cleaned and you can spend a comfortable time there. The bath and toilet are shared outside the room, but there is a roof so the distance is not a concern. The showers have plenty of hot water, and the toilets are kept clean. There is also a fancy cafe called "Goo Goo" in the back, so the location is also good👍. It's convenient because it's close to the port. Highly recommended for young people and travelers who want a casual experience❗️

Aka Island has been something I've wanted to visit for over 10 years.My dream finally came true and I was able to visit.Visited in October 2022.70 minutes by high-speed boat from Naha via Zamami.90 minutes by ferry.I was actually planning to come to Aka Island the day before, but the sea was so rough that both the ferry and the high-speed boat were canceled.I called Hanamuro Inn and had them move my stay by one day.Arrive within a few minutes walk from Aka Port.The color of the sea is also completely different between Okinawa's main island and here on Aka Island.The scenery of the island is something you can never see on Honshu, and traveling far will satisfy your wanderlust.I think Aka Island is a place visited by many young people who love diving, but even adults like us who don't dive can enjoy the leisurely time on the island.The entrance to the room at the inn is a glass door, and most of the inside is a bed.After that, it feels like it's full once you put your luggage on it.To use the toilet and shower, go outside the room.Additionally, there is a bathtub in the garden where you can warm up after getting cold from the sea.A few minutes walk to the beautiful white sandy beach with coral.The sea is breathtakingly beautiful!The food is Americanized and simple, like hamburgers for dinner.Instead, in the kitchen space, there is plenty of Orion beer chilled in the refrigerator, and you can drink Shikuwasa juice.Please note that the ferry and high-speed boat have different boarding points at Naha Tomari Port.

We stayed in the newly built garden room for 4 days.The staff were very kind and gave me lots of local information, and the food was so filling and delicious that I looked forward to it every morning and evening.The room had fast Wi-Fi, two air conditioners, and I was able to cook for myself, which was great.When it comes to privacy, it's a little relaxed, which is nice because it feels like an island (some people may be concerned about that, but we didn't have any problems)!Even after checking out, you can keep your luggage and use the shower...I also have fond memories of being able to chat with other guests in the common area of ​​the main building.I had a comfortable time that I couldn't imagine on a remote island.thank you very much.

I think 7,700 yen for a room without meals is quite expensive.The Western-style room is about 6 tatami mats in size, with two beds placed side by side, so it's quite small. There is no storage space.There is a terrace, but it's outdoors so there are lots of mosquitoes. There are mosquito repellents, but at least cover them with mosquito nets or place mosquito coils around them. Overseas, in Southeast Asia, mosquito coils are placed outdoors.There is no TV in the room, and the microwave is for staff use only.What's more, even though it says it's a large public bath, there are only two open-air bathtubs that can be seen from the neighboring apartment. Water faucet, but no showerlet.The only saving grace is that the staff is kind.

In such a state, of course, there was no television.The rooms, toilets, shower rooms, and the rest of the building are well-maintained and have a clean feel.The staff is actively taking orders for dinner and breakfast, saying that there are no restaurants on the island or that they are closed due to the coronavirus, but there are not many places on the island where you can eat. In the worst case scenario, there will be shops, so it is better to think carefully before ordering.This time, it was sudden, so this was the only place open, but considering the price...

For weak-hearted foreigners. The price, quality, and cost performance are not suitable for Japanese people. Bicycle rentals are also expensive, even at island prices. Aka Island is a really nice island, but I really made a mistake in choosing a place to stay.
