The kitchen is great!Today I ate a Wiener Schnitzel with boiled potatoes, fresh porcini mushrooms and an ultra delicious sauce - it was a culinary delight!Everything was wonderfully seasoned and prepared. A real portion to fill you up. Kudos to the chef and the management. I want to eat this good again and again and I will definitely visit this hotel restaurant again. Recommended!

Service tried hard but was absolutely overwhelmed and with a table for 5 people.Waiting for over an hour (for coffee and cake), the tables around us were yawning empty.Just disorganized and just sad for 4 stars.

A youth hostel is more accurately described as a 4-star hotel. Breakfast and dinner prepared carelessly. No matter when you came, dinner was always cold and frozen. Rooms were clean and the staff spoke little to no German. I wouldn't stay there again. The area is ok so far, but you have to drive to get to the next town. And the swimming pool is cold and the TVs are small.

Unfortunately the hotel/service is no longer worth 4 stars.The few staff are totally overwhelmed. Tables were double occupied - there were always loud arguments between guests :-(Because everyone should sit down wherever they want, by room number, etc.Eating mediocre (dessert in a 4 liter bowl) stuffed eggs for dinner and again for breakfast. Tablecloths and coffee cups dirty...When checking in/out, unfortunately there were only staff who spoke poor German and could hardly answer any questions

Positive: The facilities and cleanliness of the rooms. We had a double room with a balcony.The location of the hotel as a starting point for hikes.Negative: The food and the service. For breakfast: One-sided: the same two types of baked rolls and the same selection of sausage and cheese every day. Not tasting filter coffee on the table. During our stay there was only a buffet for dinner. This consisted of a salad buffet, which was the same every evening, and main courses, which mostly consisted of ready-made food (fish fingers, ready-made schnitzel, frozen vegetables). The worst thing, however, was the dessert. It consists of a large bowl, sometimes with ready-made semolina pampers, sometimes with ready-made rice pudding pampers and, worst of all, chocolate pudding (water-based) without any toppings such as cream or vanilla sauce. It doesn't work at all.In addition, untrained service staff who can't even clear plates without constantly dropping something and without making any eye contact with the guests. Waiters running around the hall to distribute drinks.Only the "older" service ladies tried to meet the demands.

Good hotel for a short trip, had an apartment. The TV didn't really work well because of the grandchildren in the evening. The swimming pool is great and the breakfast was also very good. Due to a few minor defects that we tried to correct, we received a final loss, which we considered very Overall, we found it accommodating and recommended

I can't express how disappointed I am with such poor service. I was invited to a wedding. The celebration was to take place at the Hotel zum Bären. I agreed to welcome the guests at the hotel.When I arrived there about half an hour before the bride and groom, some of the arrangements had not been made. There were no chairs for some tables. The tables were not fully set. I had discovered dirty tablecloths the evening before when I was setting up the table decorations. The waiter was very nice, but completely overloaded and left alone with the preparations. The “boss” had no plan at all.The company came and nothing happened. Only after a long wait and inquiries was asked for drinks. That was the only time for the celebration. Tables were only cleared sporadically. Empty glasses remained.The food was tasty.I definitely cannot recommend the location for a celebration.Praise for the staff who tried to stay calm despite the superiors' poor planning.

Very courteous staff, great breakfast buffet and nice rooms. From the balcony rooms you have a good view of the valley. There is a relatively large swimming pool in the basement, very clean and pleasant.

A beautiful hotel, ideally located for hikes in the area. Staff super friendly, helpful, just great. Rooms very clean, quiet, normal size. We had a bathroom with a shower. Very pleasantly large and finally a walk-in shower where you don't slip. Swimming pool, sauna, everything was great. Breakfast excellent. We knew it from before the renovation.We can recommend it with a clear conscience

Very well-run hotel with good home-style cuisine and regional delicacies. The rooms are spacious, some with larger than average balconies and good facilities. In addition to being used for tourism, the hotel is also very suitable as a conference hotel. We will book the hotel and half board again. We haven't tested the wellness area yet.

A nice hotel with clean rooms, a great sauna and a clean indoor poolThe WiFi has a download speed of 40 Mbit, so it's really good and the best thing is that children won't be included in the charge, and the buffet is also free for the little ones. The staff is very friendly,What more could you want?
