I visited for my wife's birthday, and during breakfast in the morning, they sang happy birthday and lit candles on the cake. My wife was so excited to receive her first surprise. And I was so grateful that the staff kept saying congratulations on the day.

We had an amazing time at Komaneka at Bisma in April this year! The place is absolutely beautiful, with a massive pool that we enjoyed relaxing by. The staff were so lovely—they really went out of their way to make us feel at home. One of the highlights was when they surprised us with coffee art, leaving sweet messages like "good morning" and "have a good day" on our drinks. Resort manager Kande personally came to greet us as well :)We loved taking short walks around the resort, surrounded by gorgeous rainforest trees that added to the peaceful vibe. Every detail was taken care of, and we truly enjoyed every moment, from the delicious food to our cozy accommodations. We still can’t stop talking about how great our stay was and would love to go back one day :) If you’re looking for a fantastic getaway, this is the spot!

Since it was my first time in Bali and my first time in Ubud, I searched for a place that satisfied both the natural scenery and the location where I could enjoy walking around town, and decided on Komaneka at Bisma. This hotel has great views not only from the rooms but also from the restaurant and lobby. You can walk to the center and Monkey Forest in about 10 minutes. It was an attractive location where you could enjoy a peaceful walk around town. The hotel's facilities are solid, the staff's hospitality is high, and the food is delicious, so I think it's a well-balanced hotel overall.During our stay, about half of the guests were from Europe and America, and half were from Asia. In Asia, there were especially many Koreans. There are so many hotels in Ubud that I tend to look at them, but this is the hotel I would like to stay at again when I visit Ubud.

●LocationLocated on Bisma Street, one street west of Monkey Forest Street, and within walking distance from the Royal Palace, the vast grounds also include forests, mountain streams, and rice terraces, so you can enjoy a different world while listening to the chirping of birds and the sound of waterfalls. Hotel.●Used guest roomsSuite/twin bedThe 88㎡ guest room is divided into three areas: a bed area and a living area, with a desk and sofa placed in the center, and a bathroom. The bathroom is spacious, with a bathtub, a large separate shower room, a large sink with two wash bowls, a separate toilet, and a walk-in closet. Almost all the necessary amenities are provided, and I'm glad that they even have insect repellent spray and lotion. Also, the desk was equipped with multiple outlets including a USB port (type A only), which was very convenient. The terrace is also approximately 25 square meters in size and is fully equipped with a sofa, a basket swing chair hanging from the ceiling, and a table and chairs. From the terrace, you can see the forest, rice terrace, and pool, and at night, there are even lanterns for lighting your own candles, giving you a soothing feel. The negative point is that the equipment in the guest rooms has deteriorated over time and it is time to replace them. It was disappointing that the bed liner, sofa, rug, footrest, etc. had noticeable deterioration and discoloration, and the cleanliness was a bit lacking.●BreakfastMain dishes are ordered from the menu, and drinks, fruit, bread, ham, etc. are arranged on the table buffet style. In addition to American, the main dishes include Balinese as well, and all of them were delicious, and there was so much variety that it was hard to decide, so I never got bored even during my 7 nights there.●OverviewBeing the top hotel of the Komaneka Group, you can feel the attention to detail in the rooms, meals, and activities within the hotel. Most of all, the hospitality-minded and attentive service of all the staff, from the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeepers and drivers, is very soothing. However, it has already been 16 years since the hotel opened, and the facilities and fixtures in the guest rooms and public areas are showing signs of deterioration over time. In addition to the guest rooms, the wooden deck especially by the pool was discolored and dented when walked on, and there were parts of the wooden deck that had been repaired that were troubling. Also, there was a family with two 3-4 year old children at the pool, but neither the parents nor the staff paid any attention to the children's strange cries that echoed throughout the hotel. During my 8-day stay, I saw many families with young children, and some children ran around screaming in the hallways. If there are only about 40 guest rooms and the accommodation rates are relatively high, I would like them to have the courage and consideration to refuse accommodation to preschool children who do not have the self-control yet. Also, while I was relaxing by the pool, pop music was constantly being played at a very high volume from the pool bar, so I asked the staff to turn it off. Don't forget that most of the guests staying at this hotel are seeking solace in the ``tranquility'' of Ubud. For the above reasons, I lowered the rating by one. I really hope that things have improved the next time I visit.

Room: Spacious and nice. It's not a new building, but it's cleanly maintained.Service: The staff are very friendly.Cleaning: The room is cleaned constantly. When you leave and come back, it is cleaned twice a day.Food: Compared to restaurants serving tourists outside, the hotel food doesn't feel expensive at all, and you can choose the breakfast, which is okay. There is also Korean food (kimchi stew, kimchi fried rice, bulgogi, etc.) on the menu for lunch and dinner. (But of course, it's not Korean-style kimchi stew, but it tastes like localized red pepper paste)Location: Approximately 20 minutes walk to Ubud Royal Palace. It's a bit hot and tiring if you walk in broad daylight, but it's worth the walk. It's easy to go for a massage, including Putris Spa 2 and Putris Spa 3, and there are many restaurants nearby, so it's convenient. There is a convenience store just a little further up the road.

10/10!This is 100% my favorite hotel in Bali. The service is amazing, reminding our names, paying attention to us, even at checkout taking our luggage from our room and putting it in the cab.The room was like a suite, welcoming us with roses on the bed, amazing amenities, super clean (morning and evening clean of the room). Lots of bottles of water.Food was also amazing, large menu ranging from Indo food to Korean, Western etc. Can’t wait to go back! Thanks to the staff! ❤️
