We arrived for one night at a private party in the Knights' Hall. The organization of the party, the ambience and, last but not least, the service were great! Nothing was left to be desired. The rooms were clean, we slept well. View of nature from the window. The breakfast was rich, something for everyone. We had a very pleasant stay. Many thanks to the hotel team 👍

We booked a room in this, according to the internet description/homepage, castle hotel in a “historic ambience”. The photos only showed the castle or the moated castle with the restaurant. So we traveled for several hours and...I was shocked and deeply disappointed. You enter the castle with 3 steps to the reception. That was the only thing one saw of the castle. The rooms are 2 streets away in a "condominium" that is reminiscent of a 2-story senior citizens' residence, but without an elevator. The room was tidy, in the style of a 3 star hotel chain. The separate bathroom in the room was equipped with a glass door including a 2cm floor gap. Couples should want to share EVERYTHING with each other very intimately, because intimate privacy is not possible. At first I sat in the room, stunned and annoyed, and reached for the water bottle on the table - "Gerolsteiner Medium". But the bottle was opened, the paper seal was torn and there was no carbonation. I immediately informed the reception that I did not agree with this deception and that I was complaining about the room. This room complex is not shown in any photos. You couldn't even see the castle from the room. That's why we traveled so long? But the full price was charged.I feel absolutely deceived. Something like that doesn't work at all.

To the hotel management before you apologize again for the inconvenience like all the negative reviews...How can you put a couple who booked a wellness weekend at the SCHLOSS Schweinsburg in youth hostel-like accommodation in 90s style? The renovation backlog is omnipresent in the track and on top of that there was a 140 bed with pillows that died 20 years ago?! Of course it's great when the male is 1.90 m and 100 kilos, and the night was accordingly 😶‍🌫️.So now to the staff and everyone who took great care of everything during our stay. The massages were very good, thank you again 🙏The food in the restaurant including breakfast was also great.Another piece of advice, a bucket of paint and a wider bed would have made the stay a bit better... Greetings go out.

We booked this hotel on a “short getaway” basis in conjunction with entry tickets for Mini World and Mini Cosmos. Two nights accommodation, dinner on the day of arrival and 2x breakfast. The following conclusion after we changed rooms once when checking in:-Internet images differ drastically from reality. Not in the hotel's favor.- Rooms are only in guest houses outside the castle. The castle itself only contains conference and meeting rooms.- Rooms are run down and in need of renovation: cracks in walls, peeling wall paint, brown traces of water damage.-Cleanliness and maintenance are almost non-existent: clogged sinks, stained wallpaper, ceilings and upholstered furniture. Carpets in rooms have retained all odors over the years and seem to have developed their own ecosystem.- Mosquito plague in rooms even in the middle of October. That's why we couldn't sleep during the night from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. and took care of about 17 of these fiechians.-The dinner was a complete disaster: declaring lukewarm canteen frozen food (probably already prepared at lunchtime) as a buffet in a supposedly 4-star hotel - is a disgrace.-Breakfast was anything but rich, as it was stated when booking.-Sauna area can only be reached outside and there are not even drink dispensers. After an overnight stay, we just wanted to get out of this hotel, so we ended our stay and checked out.We were looking forward to this trip and had to cover over 400 km for it. Now we are disappointed and leave frustrated. The price-performance ratio is not right here at all, the hotel only received one star from us.

Two nights were enough...Luckily we only booked two nights!Positive: The room and bathroom were clean, the staff was quite friendly (only the lady at reception was very loud), but that was about it.Negative: We had to cuddle at night as the bed was only 1.40m wide. In the room (we had the 606) there was major water damage to the ceiling, which was definitely older. Basically the room needs to be renovated from the ground up! The door to the bathroom was made of glass, so that you could basically see everything, and the door couldn't be closed properly; there was no way to lock the door! The shower drain cover was broken, the hairdryer worked, but was so yellowed that it looked like it had been hanging in a smoking room for years. The permanently installed soap dispenser did not work.We got into a conversation with two other guests, their room was probably no better. Curtains with holes and lots of dead mosquitoes on the wall etc.On the first morning we had to wait a bit for breakfast because all the seats were full (that can happen, but there should actually be enough seats). There were the typical baked rolls like from the supermarket, mini meatballs were ready-made. Only the scrambled eggs and boiled eggs were fresh. The sausage and cheese were clearly out of the package. In the muesli section there were different types and different grains, but none of them were labeled. The 'fresh' fruit was brown-spotted bananas and apples, and there was also 'fruit salad' which came from a can. At least there were fresh cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers. Alternatives for allergy sufferers or vegans/vegetarians were very few and far between. The breakfast room, which is also the restaurant, should also be renovated again, especially the floor looks really old. Since we were so disappointed with the breakfast, we went out to eat in the evening, so we can't say anything about the dinner/restaurant service. There are definitely not enough parking spaces, so we had to park on the side of the road the second night.Conclusion:Price-performance ratio is not right front and back! Neither for the room nor for breakfast! In my opinion the hotel should be deducted at least 3 stars! We absolutely cannot recommend this hotel!

A beautiful castle, but a little work needs to be done on the outside facade and the windows. Partly also in the building. We stayed in the guest house. That was okay. Beds were great.Breakfast was okay. Dinner: the buffet was not good, on the second evening we ate a la card. That was great! The area itself is rather quiet, to put it nicely. Some of the employees were friendly...if you met them on the premises you weren't greeted or there was no answer. No hello, just nothing. For me personally, that's actually part of it. Too bad.

Hello, we booked a few weekends in the castle with breakfast through mydays. Well, what can you say about that, the castle itself was difficult to register for us because the room was in a building next to it, not appealing, the room well, stains on the walls on the carpet, a water stain on the ceiling that then goes over to the wall, very appealing in the bathroom There are stains on the shower wall, the breakfast or the breakfast room is very crowded and very narrow. There is nothing in the area. Everything else is only possible by car. Very disappointing. I would never come here again. 4 hour drive for nothing. The massage itself was very friendly and also relaxing but when the masseuse breathes in your face it's very unpleasant. And when prices are quoted and suddenly increase after the massage, that's not possible at all.Oh wellThe hotel isn't suitable as a couple's destination so I'd rather go to an inn.

We were guests for 3 days and were really disappointed with the “4 star” hotel. The room is full of dead mosquitoes on the wall and various other stains. The bathroom wasn't really clean either. From the second day onwards it became so crowded at breakfast that we had to wait to get our turn and the car park (included in the booking) was too small so we couldn't use it and had to park outside. To get into the sauna you have to go around the castle. We were also accommodated in the adjacent building, which is similar to a youth hostel. There was definitely no castle feeling. Our booking included a 3-course meal and a massage treatment. Before we started the trip, I was called to ask when we would be arriving so that we could schedule the massages. There was no response to my requested email regarding this. When we arrived we asked again and were told they would contact us. This was also done a day later by one of the masseuses working there with the words: “we are expecting you now”.Since we didn't know anything about it, we couldn't notice it (until later in the day). Organizationally it was stupid for us, of course, since we were half an hour away from the hotel and actually had other plans (sightseeing). All in all the stay was very disappointing.
