An experience to sleep on a ship! Wonderful ambience, something different! Of course there are no brick walls, it can be a little "louder"... but you know that beforehand and you are also given earplugs!! The crew is super friendly, thatBreakfast is delicious and everything is there!! We will come again!!!Two more tips: Tall people should be "humble" and move slightly bent over... your head will thank you!And for couples, book the captain's cabin if possible!!We found it “very special”!!!

Always a good location when in Dresden. Close to Altstadt, close to Neustadt, but a bit outside the centre so you'll get your peace and quiet. Rooms are good, shared bathrooms clean. Breakfast is great. Highly recommended.

Once you come here you think it's as beautiful as if you were traveling on the sea or ocean. So comfortable and simply good. As nice as a 4 star hotel. There is good food and drink here, sleeping in comfort and comfort. Summer is wonderful with fresh air. I just like it

A great place to stay. Breakfast is recommended. The location is very good. The city center can be reached on foot in about 25 minutes along the Elbe.

As long as you ensure that you have the right mindset then a one night stay here is good. It's a large boat so there are no rooms with ensuite, they have shared facilities: bathroom and toilets. …

The M. D. Pöppelmann (formerly Karl Marx) is a wonderful place to stay overnight.Quietly located in Neustädter Hafen, it offers a great and special way to sleep in Dresden. The tram can be reached in a few minutes on foot and Dresden's old town is only a few stops away.Of course, it is sometimes a little louder (especially when there are youth groups and school classes on board). You also have to be aware that there is only one cabin with its own bathroom. The rest only have a sink in the cabin, toilets and showers are in the hallway. But the ambience is convincing. Everything is clean, the breakfast (€14.50 per night) is top and the warm “you” is part of the tone.At breakfast it should be mentioned that there are table trash cans. This is definitely not a given (even expensive hotels often lack this) and ensures cleanliness and order. In other ways, great attention is paid to the guest. There are earplugs on the pillow to prevent the ship from being noisy (there is also a delicious goody there), the drinks prices are reasonable and the request for a change in cabin (single beds instead of a double bed) has also been fulfilled. It was definitely not the last time I was on board here.
