I felt very comfortable, warm, bright rooms with a view of the forest and meadow and you can watch deer and other wild animals in the morning. The owners are very interested in the well-being of their guests and are welcoming. The northern Black Forest is very beautiful and not a national park for nothing 👍🏻

The rooms are really not nice and very outdated.Everything is clean, the staff is friendly and the food is very good, the portions are decent and the prices for the food are reasonable.I think the prices for overnight stays are too high for what you get.

Unfortunately, I don't know how so many positive reviews about this hotel came about. The employees were unfriendly and didn't speak German. The room was not clean and was not cleaned thoroughly even after complaints. In the very old bathroom (sink and toilet leaking) there were a lot of spiders at home who felt more comfortable there than I did. The only thing that is really excellent is the location, you have an excellent view, but it is somewhat spoiled by the poorly cleaned windows. The breakfast was okay but nothing special.

We were there for the second time now and will book our holiday there again next year, you won't find such friendly staff everywhere. The house is quiet and clean. A great breakfast buffet...

Outdated hotel, long black hair in the dressing room, dirty bed linen, dirty windows in the room, toilet seat not fixed.Restaurant not inviting. Breakfast, carelessly prepared, discount rolls, sausage, and cake. Café not hot, breakfast egg cold, warm container not covered. Jam not marked, chocolate spread as if it were pure...no choice of rolls.Once and never again !!

BEFORE YOU GO ON HOLIDAY HERE, YOU'D BETTER STAY HOME!The “hotel” is a complete disaster. As has often been mentioned here, the rooms are stuck in the 80s. Not bad in itself for a hotel in the middle of nowhere, but one point must always be met and that is cleanliness. Unfortunately, this too left much to be desired. The aquarium at the reception alone (totally filthy, if something is still alive in there you can only be sorry) gave a foretaste of the room. When we arrived in the room we were greeted by plenty of cobwebs (especially on the windows, a very large work of art), mold in the bathroom and lots of hair (long and short) on the beds. A no-go at a hefty price of €75 per night. The service left only a lot to be desired, unfriendly and snappy. We finally left the hotel (without staying overnight) and looked for and found more pleasant accommodation.

It's safe to say we won't be back again. Pitiful room, with live and dead animals everywhere. Internet completely absent. Staff disinterested in everything. Without words.

Hotel located in the middle of the dark green Black Forest, a bit older but with charm and a great team; a hotel from which you can start hiking straight away, but which also invites you to linger. The view from the restaurant through the glass front of the Black Forest gets you in the mood for the day right from breakfast.
