Afteer a long time I went back to the Hotel Ochsen, famous for its Black Forest Torte, Schwarzwälder Kuchen . Like always, it was delicious, a big portion and the coffee ☕️ was also very good 👍. In a beautiful place and friendly service. We have had a wonderful time! ❤️

This hotel is very well situated and easy to navigate if you like the Black Forest. My stay was 10 days. The rooms were excellent but did not have a microwave -1 star. The Service was great. The staff was professional, courteous, friendly, and timely, however the cleaners are a bit loud in the morning if you are trying to sleep in. I guess that's typical for most hotels. Dining at the on-site restaurant you will not be disappointed. The food and service exceeded all expectations. On certain days my internet did not work in my room. I had to go into the hallway or by the elevators to get internet service. The hotel could do nothing. Most days I use my phone data and hotspot for connection. That was the only thing I did not like here. And because of the internet issue is the reason I gave Ochsen, a 4 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐rating. The saunas and pool were fantastic. I highly endorse and recommend the Hotel Ochsen. It is a wonderful place to relax and just chill-out alone or not!KennyChicago

For the genuine local cuisine experience, this is a great venue. The meals are fair portions with a great selection of craft beers and drinks to compliment the meal. The Black Forest cake is a meal for 2.

Loved the food. Had the trout with almond butter. Very tender and buttery. Extremely yummy and for dessert the foot high black forest cake is an experience in itself. Get one and share it. Go for a walk along the Enzyme afterwards. Very idyllic.

Something has changed in the restaurant's operation. The roast beef with onions used to come with a generous mixed salad including potato salad. This tradition has been discontinued. The soup was not convincing at all. The Black Forest Cherry Cake was the biggest remaining silver lining and a reminder of better times.

I stayed at the Hotel Ochsen for a night as part of a wedding celebration. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. My room was a nice blend of traditional southern German style with modern appliances and bathroom. …

The photos on the web are more beatifull than in real. We got a very old-fashioned room because of our dog (dogs are allowed and really welcome but you do not get the nice room you payed for). The swimming pool and wellness are new, small but beautifull. The diner was ok, but average. Although it is a family driven Hotel, this is not felt. All foreign personel doing there best but it does not feel really warm.
