Hotel location very good, but parking is a public parking garage and no discount from the hotel. 14 euros a night is pretty expensive. The hotel was initially booked mainly because of the parking space, but after finding out what it was, I would no longer travel with my good car.

Nice old fashioned hotel. VERY clean. Staff very friendly, esp the breakfast lady with the short dark hair. We were allowed to check in 30 minutes early. Good breakfast with nice coffee - please take the large glass if you're making yourself a latte machiato!! -Room spacious with fridge, kettle and coffee, desk, decent desk chair. Bed was great and two pillows to choose from. Room was a bit warm but there was decent fan. There was a bit of a smell though so we opened the window. Bathroom nice, spacious, great shower, make up mirror.

Very nice house with history: The hotel has more history than a history book and is located in the middle of the vibrant city center.Cheap parking options: Public parking garage right next door for 7 euros per calendar day - your wallet will be happy!Super-friendly reception: We were greeted so warmly that we felt like long-awaited guests.Nice, clean and comfortably furnished room: Our room was so nice and clean that we immediately felt at home. Pure comfort!Delicious breakfast: The breakfast had something for everyone. Eggs were cooked to order and to order - simply delicious!Room facing the street: Unfortunately our room faced the street. Even though it's a 30 speed zone, some drivers appear to have confused the road with a race track. However, the hotel can't do anything about it.Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Residenz am Königsplatz and would definitely come back to enjoy the central location and excellent service.

After finding a parking space for the car (there is a public parking garage right next door), I passed a large steel gate that opened slowly. If it were a full-surface gate, it would have a bit of a prison feel to it. When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by a feeling of home. The ambience is similar to a living room. Very cozy, clean and big stairs. The hotel only has a few rooms, which doesn't make me a number as a guest. The welcome was limited to the bare essentials. Questions were answered competently and friendly.The room was comfortably furnished, a floor-to-ceiling rain shower that didn't flood half the bathroom, a kettle, a table for working and a comfortable bed. My sales representative heart immediately beat faster. Everything you need is available in the room.Since there was only one other guest in the hotel with me, I was asked to give an approximate time for breakfast. Two flights of stairs below, a very warm and friendly lady was waiting for me in the cellar vault, who had lovingly prepared a table for me with lots of delicacies. It was a great start to the day and a restful night beforehand. Thank you very much! I will gladly come again.

The hotel is a bit old and therefore not very inviting. The breakfast is not according to the price! At 9 a.m. you had to ask for something else to be found on the buffet. Cheap sausage and cheese from the discounter, no eggs or anything similar, only on request.Unfortunately overall disappointed and really expected a little more for the price.

A great hotel in the center of Speyer. The staff is super friendly. The breakfast in an old vaulted cellar is excellent.The old building is lovingly furnished and a lot of effort has been made to place a small detail in even the smallest corner.

The room was modern and comfortably furnished, but not adequately cleaned. Dirty cups and lots of finger/hand prints on the glass door to the bathroom were immediately unpleasant. Service seemed overwhelmed at times. ("Everyone does everything here") You were first sent to the room on the first floor, even though the room was next to the reception. Breakfast buffet was 'OK' at best for a hotel of this category.The nearby (adjacent) parking garage is initially only accessible via street. Upon request (!) there was a direct connection via the inner courtyard. Parking garage very, very narrow and no discounts for hotel visitors. Overall, the price/performance ratio doesn't fit here at all.

Good service Room is ok but the 3 bed room is all ok but the couch bed is very uncomfortable I could hardly sleep and the ventilation in the bathroom is as loud as an airplane but in itself a good hotel

The room I booked was a comfort room for 170 euros per night- The water pressure in the bathroom (shower) was very bad, i.e. there was very little water coming out of the tap. As soon as the toilet was flushed, for example, only hot water came out of the shower.- The room size was the same as that of a couple who were friends and who had only booked the standard room for 130 euros.- The breakfast was very bad, there was no choice and most of it was no longer offered at 10 a.m. I expect that if breakfast is served until 11 a.m. on Sunday, then the offer will be fully available until 11 a.m- The room was extremely cold upon arrival, so I expect the heating to be turned on before the guests arrive.I can't understand the four stars for the hotel in any way.Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and the information about the parking garage in advance was also very helpful.

We stayed in room 18 from December 16th, 2022 - December 18th, 2022.We had to pay €18 for the 3 days for the parking garage, which is not part of the hotel, as there were no parking options outside the hotel or parking garage.Watching TV on the couch is only possible at a 90 degree angle to the TV. TV cannot be swiveled.Both shower head holders are defective.The breakfast for a 4 star hotel was very poor: no bread or toast, just rolls, which were apparently baked from the day before, as they were very hard and definitely not fresh. No boiled eggs. No fruit except fruit salad. I often had to ask if something was empty, even from other guests, e.g. scrambled eggs, rolls, orange juice. Unfortunately, the scrambled eggs were also quite dry or well-done. €360 for a deluxe double room for 2 days was definitely not appropriate. But as I said, the breakfast, which is important to us when staying in a hotel, was absolutely the worst we had ever had in a 4 star hotel. Unfortunately
