Wonderfully nice host who welcomed me. Helped with the luggage as the room was a bit far from the car park. Good bed and new bathroom. Good food in the restaurant. Very satisfied

The bed is ok, the bathroom is hm... well, my bedside table is sticky, seems to have been unloaded with cola, I had to clean it first. If there wasn't any mold in the shower, it would be ok, but really just ok, no more!

Unfortunately, the room does not have blinds or curtains.If you have problems with brightness when sleeping, you're unfortunately in the wrong place.Rooms sufficient and quite clean, beds are soft.A few spider webs on the beams, but there are worse things.Anyone who thinks that they can sleep in the castle is wrong, just for information. Rooms are a side street away.Breakfast is good, but also somewhere else, in another hotel.But recommended for a transit trip 👍

I stayed at Altes Burghotel for one night with my family in August of 2022, while traveling through Germany.We stayed in family accommodations with 2 rooms and a bathroom. The staff were very nice and helpfull. It was a steep climb up narrow stairs to get to the rooms, and outside the room there was a spacious old looking common room area with tea and coffee. The atmosphere of the place was very special. It was clearly a very old building which had been nicely restored. A huge old beam went straigt through the floor in the childrens room, and there were other little charming crooked details. However, it may not the best place tho stay if you are elderly or have mobility issues. We really appreciated the theme with knigts and the middle ages. The breakfast room at the castle looked amazing, and the breakfast was OK - nothing special.

Room "Olivia", out of 5 rooms in total, well...It went so-so, bare walls, no closet, no hanger, although there was enough space. Just an Ikea Billy shelf in the windowless anteroom....?!?Unfortunately, the lack of blackout options on the windows, apart from small folding blinds due to a lot of light around them at night, was quite unpleasant and not really suitable for sleeping.The two towels were totally musty, unfortunately there was not a single service on site in 4 days of stay.I'm already disappointed, there's still room for improvement even for 70 euros per night...The ticket right in front of the house at Burgstrasse 5 was the highlight... Well, it's your own fault with a license plate on the car that doesn't indicate that it's a local. They were all spared! Seriously people?!?Breakfast for + 11.50 euros in the castle hotel opposite def. Insufficient, but the pension can't help that, can it?Thank you very much, see you here.......

The room wasn't cleaned. Tables were stuck and blood from the previous owner had not been removed. I didn't receive a reply to my email. It's not a classic hotel, but more of a guesthouse room.

There was a variety of things but all fairly boring quality. Yoghurt was not cold. We needed to ask for a refill of almost everything.

WiFi doesn't work at all. Service was very friendly. However, this cannot be called a hotel as it is more like a guesthouse.Breakfast was OK.Towels were very musty, fresh ones only came when asked.No interim cleaning was carried out.Cobwebs hung from the beams, giving the impression of inadequate cleanliness.The hotel is very centrally located.Overall, we wouldn't book here again, especially because it's not handicapped accessible.

Room JasminSo not a hotel but a guesthouse with rental apartments in the basement. The rooms were small and had a lot of tripping hazards. Waited 10 minutes until hot water came. No refrigerator available. Open cable hanging loosely from the ceiling.

Super nice rooms, very friendly staff.The restaurant and reception are well signposted in the castle, a few steps away. A rich and exemplary breakfast is available in the castle hotel, 2 minutes away. If you are a bit lost here, you should enter the castle, go straight through the door on the right and then go straight back down the stairs on the left. It's worth it!Restaurant in the castle was also great.

On the recommendation of a friend, we booked a room in the “Altes Burghotel” guesthouse. The rooms are of a low standard, the beds are very soft, the shower had hardly any water pressure. The room was clean, but the interim cleaning was only carried out half-heartedly. We also ordered breakfast, which consisted of baked rolls and packaged cold cuts/cheese. The boss wanted to contact us again because of our dissatisfaction, but only sent an employee forward, who of course had no further authority. All in all not recommended.The room was also booked directly with the guesthouse. The room price was therefore significantly higher than if you booked it online. If you decide to stay here, I recommend doing so via the usual portals.

So not a hotel but a guesthouse with rental apartments in the basement. I had a room on the 2nd floor and there were guests above us on the 3rd floor, everything was very noisy. At 4 the night was over when the guests above us got up.You can't look at the towels closely and they smell really old and dirty...The restaurant is great, as is the breakfast, but I wouldn't stay here again!
