As soon as you arrive at the reception, you are greeted very friendly by all the employees. This friendliness runs through the entire stay. From reception to service to the gardener! The rooms and the location of the hotel are simply great. Therefore 5 stars across the board.

Hideway Baltic Sea recommendation from Feinschmecker magazine. Modern rooms in the new building (park building) next to the castle: well ventilated but it was also very cold when we got to the room, self service with the luggage, friendly reception, after the disappointing dinner (the pumpkin menu starters were still good, we were fine). The next day we enjoyed the exceptional location of the hotel in the beautifully converted brasserie of the old horse stable. The stately white manor house was unfortunately closed. The attached restaurant there with an avenue-lined view of the Baltic Sea is spectacular (can be booked for 25 people or more). So it was a very nice hideaway in terms of the unique location and the rooms, but without any culinary pampering factor, the overall package was rather disappointing. The lunchtime event on Unity Day October 3rd. took place outdoors when the weather was nice and contained GDR reminiscences as a defining style element, from the food to the music, which can be seen as preserving history but also as one-sided and rather incomplete in the sense of the idea of unity.

The castle and surroundings are beautiful, especially the park and the proximity to the natural beach. The hotel is very dog friendly, we had booked a room with a refrigerator (dog food) there was no refrigerator, it was expanded?? When we got a cat table on the first evening, we wanted to reserve a table for the next evening, it wasn't offered, literally "first come has the choice"!! The rented bikes were quite old and the e-bike also left a lot to be desired. Breakfast buffet was very good. We were very lucky with the weather, so we were able to enjoy the magical park and the surrounding area.
