I'm staying here for a week. Somewhat typical European room -- very comfortable bed, great outside view, TV with a couple of English language channels (BBC, CNN), small clothes hanging area but no dresser/drawers, and small bathroom with limited toiletries but has strong shower water pressure. Great lounge area on the ground floor for relaxing, working, or chatting with friends/colleagues. But food options for breakfast and in the evening are quite limited. Easy walk to the train station and to Old Town. Front desk staff speak English, but not warm or friendly - perhaps typical Austrian?

Disadvantages: 1. No refrigerator, no hot water kettle, no tea bags, coffee, and cups 2. The door cannot be locked 3. The shower room is semi-open, so water can easily leak out.Advantages: 1. The room can accommodate two large suitcases. 2. The hair dryer is very powerful. 3. The breakfast is delicious. 4. The view outside the window is nice.

The Motel One is a bit old... the rooms could use some renovation. You are used to more modern things from other hotels in the chain. The reception and lounge area are great and the view of the Salzach from the rooms is fantastic.

As always, top: delicious breakfast, customer-oriented staff, great location, within walking distance of the old town with Salzburg's sights. The only drawback, as in every MO: the bathroom door closes by itself.

It is beautiful. I recommend the location. It is close to the center, restaurants and Arab shops. It is a quarter-hour walk and you are in the center and by the castle you do not need a car. I will return to the hotel again on my next visits, but the shame is that there is no water boiler in the room. But I asked them for hot water and they gave me in a thermos.

Motel one was really a good stay, we had a river facing room, it was a decent view outside. Its a 5 min walk from main train station and You can take bus to city centre from just across the road, so we had a great time with our kid and did not need ro walk much. Breakfast had a decent spread.

I stayed over a night here. Great location, very close to the old town. The room size was great, clean but there were no bath amenities and bottled water. The breakfast was of a limited variety but of a good quality. The staff are very friendly and open however, the skills require polishing. I asked for an iron and they could not provide as they had no idea who took it away, so they kept no records. I left my phone # but I was not contacted, had to approach them on my own and got my iron. The other time the housekeeping lady did not knock but just entered the room which was against all the rules. So they could have been more attentive and proactive.

I appreciate these hotels. The style in which the lobby was finished is flawless. There is a relaxed atmosphere here, and with the river right next to it, time on the terrace is pleasant. European breakfasts - a safe option with a buffet full of various things to eat. A well-kept hotel close to attractions and the old town.
