The cheapest but cleanest way you can sleep in Munich. We went there during the Oktoberfest, and it was the best choice we could have made. The sleeping spots are clean and well-maintained.The restrooms are super clean, and they clean them multiple times each day.Showers and sinks have hot water and they even provide soap for hands and face.In the evening is possible to buy beers and sit around the fireplace. It's possible to play the piano and there's even a gigantic chessboard. The place is very close to the tram, so it's very easy to get to every place in Munich with public transportation. If you have a light sleep like me, I suggest bringing foamies, but they also sell them there for 1 euro. The next time I'll go to Munich I will defenitely stay at The Tent!

The people of the campsite were nice, clean toilets and relatively cheap food. But BEWARE!!! If you are by car you have to park in a public road, which has signs where you cannot park. LOOK OUT FOR THOSE SIGNS!!!!! Me as a relatively new driver I overlooked these and they are all throughout the city, parking in one of these spots will result in a tow, which is very expensive. The people at The Tent were supposed to tell us about this, but the guy checking us in forgot to show us. When my car got towed I went to them and turns out it happens multiple times in a season...So big tip for the people at The Tent, put a big sign up front warning people for the tow!!!! It cost us €370 and a day wasted trying to get it back. I know it is my responsibility in the end but they could have told us, and the officer at the police station admitted that this happens a lot. I have never seen anything like it and a heads-up would have saved me €370...

We had a great experience but keep in mind it gets really really cold inside the tent at night, the 3 blankets they give you are not enough, so please bring warm clothes to sleep in. …

Okay. The cleanliness of beds and blankets is not the best. The cleaning of the toilets is done to the bare minimum.

Ita a beautiful concept and unique theme. Never have I stayed in tent hostel and I must say the experience was very pleasant. It's an amazingly beautiful place nestled in green clean part of Munich which gives the feeling of being in suburbs although not too far away from center. Perfect place to chill out, relax and meet new people. Bonfire and live music was great activity on a cold September night.

If you are a casual public enjoyer of your portable speaker, person who likes to speak loud at 4am or you like to dress up in cheap lederhosen and sleep in mud, I have good news! This is the spot for you.I am not, avoid this place at any cost, overcrowded, annoying!

Honestly, a really cute spot. You get what you pay for. The matts are tiny but not bad and just wear your clothes to bed if you get cold. They do not have pillows so make sure you have something for your head. Bring cash to pay for food. Definitely stay here if you are on a budget

Even though the place looks cozy in photos, I don't recommend going there at all. They don't even give you a pillow and you have to be happy with 3 blankets for your bed. No matter how you will be very cold in the main tent, even in summer.Worst of all is that while I was drying my clothes in the drying lines the staff decided to throw my clothes to the garbage to clear the lines. Not even putting it in lost and found or a common place in the laundry room. Straight to the garbage just like that. And of course they refused to take any responsibility for this. I don't recommend this place.

Good social hostel. We joined the free walking tour (once a week on a Wednesday morning) which was really good plus a great way to meet people. The bathrooms were clean and generally pretty tidy. The kitchen is small so it can be crowded but it was manageable. The dinners they served were really nice and reasonably priced (same with the breakfasts in the morning). You can leave your devices or power banks charging in reception.Staff were super friendly and helpful. We stayed in our own tent - you can hear noise at night but it wasn't too bad and they were good at stopping any noise at 1am. There was occasionally some noise in the morning from people walking past on the footpaths but again nothing major.Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hostel.
