We booked one night stay at this location. Me and my boyfriend travel a lot between Netherlands and Italy so it was nice to have a halfway break and stay here.We booked everything online and it was easy to do it.During booking we also asked if we can participate at wine tasting session and it was amazing! We also booked a table at the restaurant and the food was unique and amazing! We ran a bit late on our dinner reservation because we were still at the wine tasting session but the staff came and checked on us. To be hinest, That was a nice touch from them :)Room was very nice and very clean.The breakfast choices was a bit limited but this is a very intimate and romantic location, so if you expect hotel 100 choices style buffet,this is not for you.I definitely recommend this place for couples that want to have a private and romantic stay.Wine was amazing!!! We bought some bottles as well (ofc!)

A very warm and friendly welcome from the reception team which included a glass of the house fizz which was delicious. The room was excellent, beautifully finished to a very high standard. The shower in our room deserves a mention, so many shower heads blasting water you might as well have been in a bath!! Breakfast was lovely in a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for refurbishment during our stay so we can't comment on that. We would stay here again without a doubt.

Yes it's nice for a more walking or calm based stay but compared to other hotels that were better located with more amenities I think half board should be offered. There are many lovely German hotels that are as expensive but with heated pools, breakfasts and three course evening meals.

Nice room with substandard service. Rolls and croissants are over-baked and old. Breakfast is so limited that it is outrageous for the room price of €163 per night. Every Motel One has better service at reasonable prices.

This is a nice intimate restaurant where you can also have a drink with wines from their own estate. They also have a selection of alcohol-free (sparkling) wines which tasted quite reasonable, and would even be suitable for the taste of children :)The picante sardines were tasty.

My wife and I were guests in the castle restaurant. The chef is Jan Hoffmann. We have eaten at Jan Hoffmann several times in previous locations and have always been thrilled. But this time Jan Hoffmann has outdone himself. We had 5 courses with meat (kidney cones) in the main course and the recommended wines. Every course was an experience. I have never enjoyed eating vegetables and herbs as much as I did with Jan Hoffmann. Visually, every single course was fantastically beautiful. You can see the love and craftsmanship with which the dishes are prepared. In terms of taste, the entire menu was sensational and the selected wines were a perfect match. We will certainly come back.Anyone who is nearby and has time should treat themselves to this culinary highlight. It's worth every euro.

I don't understand the bad reviews at all!We arrived as a couple and were even allowed to check in much earlier. We have rarely received such an incredibly friendly welcome. As a welcome we were given a fantastic, well-tempered white wine.The entire team is very friendly and accommodating, our suite is perfect and the breakfast is extensive. Freshly baked bread, rolls and croissants. Freshly squeezed orange juice and freshly made scrambled eggs. It doesn't get any better.We have therefore booked ourselves again for July.A big thank you to Fam.Schätzle & the entire team
