Not the most luxarious place in Baden Baden, yet the price - quality for me was right, so would make it 3 stars and clear great old gentelmen who run the place!Hope the place stays in business as long as possible!

I was in Baden Baden on business for a day and stayed at this place because it was booked through our booking portal. I'm staying because the term hotel suggests something that doesn't even come close. A single room under the attic with miscellaneous furniture, which you usually see at the recycling center. The bathroom urgently needs renovation.Sockets in the room without a cover to which a table fan was connected and I didn't dare try out whether it worked.You can safely save on breakfast and have it better and cheaper at the bakery around the corner. I've traveled around a lot and stayed in hundreds of hotels, but I've never seen one this run-down in Prague.How the positive reviews come about is a mystery to me. One star for the location. More would be unfair to the hotels that can be described as such.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights on business with three other colleagues. Despite my extremely bad experience, I would like to give as objective feedback as possible, which will help others. Nevertheless, in advance - since I work in a large company, I asked that the hotel be removed from the booking platform due to the bad experience because it is unsuitable and inappropriate - even privately, I would only stay in such a hotel in an emergency.Positive:- Good locationNeutral:- Breakfast is ok - but still don't expect too muchNegative:- rude, brash/insolent and unmotivated owner/receptionist- Mold in the joints of the tiles in the bathtub area, yellowed silicone joints throughout the bathroom (see attached photos)- Inventory extremely outdated with unpleasant smells in all hallways. I have to say that the pictures from the booking portal match the furnishings and I knew what I was getting myself into, but the smell shouldn't be there.- Extremely bad WiFi - you couldn't work but had to set up a hotspot with your cell phone. This wasn't just the case at the top of my room, but on every floor, as my colleagues and I were spread out in different hallways and everyone gave feedback- Extremely poor value for money- My little perfume was stolen from the room. I also reported it to reception, but apart from a note, there was nothing there. I didn't pursue it because I had to check out and it was just a small almost empty bottle. Still, it was annoying. Something like that just doesn't work.My extremely negative experience with the WiFi in detail: Since the WiFi didn't work, I politely asked the gentleman about it. It was evening, but still during opening hours. He reacted cholerically with a bottomless impudence that is second to none. Immediately after I described my problem, the answer came: "What should I do now?" Then he cheekily simply turned his back towards me towards the PC. Of course I didn't let up because I urgently had to prepare something for work. So I objectively asked him to remedy the situation or give me another room. Then came the statement,"You've been standing here for half an hour, keeping me from work," even though we've talked for 30 seconds. Then came the announcement: “Use the free WiFi in Baden Baden”. After these rude, unobjective answers, I knew that I couldn't get any further with this person with reasonable justifications and I withdrew angrily. Since I was only there for one more night and I only came in to sleep, I had to swallow the bitter pill and stayed there angry. There was no fix the following day either. This shows me that he only reacted this way because the problem appears to have existed for a long time and cannot be fixed. When reading other comments about the hotel afterwards, I saw that the man's behavior was the same with other customers. That means it's not an isolated case and I wasn't the problem either (you have to seriously reflect on yourself).Conclusion: I advise against staying so that you don't get as angry as I did. Nobody needs that.

Tourist hotel in the center of Baden Baden. Decent breakfast, close to the spa.

I don't understand all the negative reviews and would like to counteract them, hence this review.The owner of the hotel is a very warm man and when I arrived I immediately felt at home.I spent the last two days I was in Baden-Baden before I left for Australia there.The hotel is old, that's true, but that's why it had a wonderful charm, especially for me. The rooms are VERY clean, and so-called high-end hotels could definitely learn a lesson from that. I know what I'm talking about, I've been to hotels of every star category worldwide.You also get a lot for the price: a wonderfully comfortable and large bed, the bathroom has a bathtub as well as a shower. The light in the bathroom is perfect for putting on make-up, which is much different for me in high-end hotels!All employees are very welcoming.The location is great (right in the spa district at Friedrichsbad and a few steps away from the Caracalla Therme).The hotel room is very quiet and the temperature in the room was pleasant, despite the high outside temperatures (33 degrees).I thought the decorations were beautiful, everything vintage or even antique. If you prefer to go to loveless and coldly furnished hotels without charm, you should do so, but don't put this hotel down. This is absolutely not justified.I would come again if I visit Baden-Baden!

Older, centrally located hotel. Spacious room with air conditioning and a balcony. Cozy facility.

I have been visiting this hotel for 15 years. And I am very, very satisfied. I love this place.
