The worst accommodation I have experienced so far. I would give zero stars if I could. The room, toilet, sink and beds were so dirty, it was totally disgusting. Even the worst hostels were better than this accommodation. I happened to have bed linen and a blanket in the car. I used those. Otherwise I would have left again. But I still felt uncomfortable with disgust. Pictures: the mattress, sink in the toilet, shared kitchen.

It's like being in a bad movie. The house is beyond dilapidated. Cracks in the walls, very spartan furnishings, everything thrown together, toilet without glasses or door, shower without partition, there is construction waste everywhere. Everything was only superficially clean… I escaped….

The John Stube is totally hospitable! The rooms are currently undergoing long-term renovations along with the rest of the house.Nevertheless, it is more than ok if you need an overnight stay at short notice! The price-performance ratio is really great!Everything is rustic and the old floorboards invite time travelers on a little adventure!BECAUSE… what we only noticed on the way there in the evening is that the inn is at the foot of the SCHAUMBURG!!!😍We were lucky enough to be able to choose our room, whether it was a room with a kitchen and bathroom or a room where you had to share the kitchen and bathroom with others. We took the former and had a very nice view of the valley! As I said, if you're expecting high class you should look for something in the city, but if you're adventurous like us and prefer a rustic place to sleep with great new acquaintances, this is the place for you!So bring everything with you and stay overnight very cheaply if you're going on the next day anyway! The lady (unfortunately I forgot her name) on site who keeps everything in order and welcomes the guests very kindly is available to you all the time and has great recommendations that not every tourist knows!😉Kind regards and thank you for the short-term opportunity to sleep!💕

Hello everyone. Here is my review of the accommodation. The accommodation is definitely not for everyone, why is explained in the text. The location is priceless, amazing views, amazing surroundings, peace and quiet in the middle of the rural idyll. The “hotel” is very secluded and in a super quiet location. The building is a rustic, historic-looking half-timbered building. Beautiful from the outside. We booked our room at very short notice. On the day of arrival we were warmly welcomed. We were quickly shown our room and familiarized with the kitchen, bar and other things. The homeowner and all the other staff are extremely polite and friendly. You can now find out why the accommodation is not for everyone. The house and administration are definitely alternatives. It's a beautiful alternative project. What is reflected in the rooms. The rooms are very spartan. By and large, the most important things are clean. But if you're looking for a normal hotel standard, you've definitely come to the wrong place here. The project reminds me more of a squat in Berlin in the 90s. The atmosphere in the house is like that too.I wasn't expecting this, but I have to say we were really happy.Reminded me of when I was young and rebellious.I wish the team at Johns Stube all the best and much success.Projects like yours are really rare and the courage is admirable. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

It is a very old building, the hallways and rooms urgently need care and renovation. The rooms are spartan but superficially clean.

The whole night there was loud music, people making noises. It sounded like a party hostel. So we slept very bad. Location is super nice and the guy checking us in was also friendly but has no awareness of the people sleeping here apparently hence the loud music for the WHOLE night.

Something completely different, completely uncomplicated check-in, difficult to park, very rustic house, my room for the asking price just before Hanover was completely fine with a shower and toilet, as a solo traveler the bathroom can also be used without a door
