I am biased about this place because I spent a very happy year or so staying here. If you’re looking for five-star anonymity - this ain’t your place. This is an authentic German bed and breakfast. The welcome is curtained, the rooms are clean and simple and the price is great. Good breakfast and walkable to the train station.

We felt very comfortable here during our wedding celebration, as did all of our guests. Thank you very much for that 🤗Regarding Lennart's review: Completely out of place because it concerns the event barn and not the hotel! On the other hand, you are welcome to accept agreements between us, who last invited you, and the organizer and are happy to discuss them with me.

Absolutely bad service and from 10 p.m. all the doors are closed because the bass is too loud even though it doesn't get any louder when the guests are talking outside.In my opinion it is not recommended and the boss is very unfriendly towards his guests.

The hotel is located circa 30-40 minute drive from the Hannover Messe show ground, this being the principal reason for my visit.The area itself is semi rural with traditional Germanic villages including several small pubs/restaurants.The staff at the property are pleasant but only speak German so this would be a good opportunity to practice your German speaking skills for non-native Germans.The rooms are basic but functional, more importantly very clean.I wouldn't class this as a luxury place to stay but for a place to lay your head it provides you a truly authentic German experience.

We were guests at a local wedding and stayed for 2 nights.Unfortunately, our room was not equipped with beautiful old furniture - unfortunately only pine furniture like in the good old 80s. This is certainly a matter of taste.First of all, the location is great and the concept on site is great. If you like antiques, this is the right place for you - there really is a lot of beautiful things to discover in the celebration hall.The food that was served was really great. The staff on the evening of the celebration were very nice and attentive.Now to the unpleasant things.- The internet in our room didn't work the entire weekend.- The toilet flushed for three days - despite the report- The TV didn't work- On-site parking spaces are in short supply- On Sunday morning there was no hot water in all rooms.- The owner (older woman) is incredibly cheeky and presumptuous - had a serious parking discussion with her - tip to the nice employees - I would regulate the lady and forbid any customer contact.In principle you have to say - such a room should not have been rented out. A 10% discount doesn't make it any better if nothing works.You can't say anything bad about breakfast - it's nothing special, but it's really okay for the start of the day and for 10 euros.I only give the 2 stars because overall the concept is great, the food is great and, apart from the older lady, the staff is hard-working.We definitely won't be coming here again!!!!Price-performance ratio is not right here in any way.

The Schönemann event barn (built in 1890) is hidden in Ricklingen.The barn is extremely cozy: the buffet is exquisitely selected and put together; from the starter, everything from the pumpkin 🍵from the hot, fantastically spiced pumpkin soup, baked pumpkin to the bread 🍞 💫Top🍹🌴 The service staff very attentive and loving 🤲🍹We will remember this evening for a long time 👍GreatThanks to everyone

The Kastanienhof is located in Wettbergen and is visually very beautiful, both from the outside and from the inside. Easily accessible by car from the motorway. In about 15 minutes you can be in the city center of Hanover. There is also a bus connection and a subway station with P+R. A free parking space is available. The rooms are individually designed due to the conditions (old farm) and are nicely and functionally furnished. There is enough space, including in the bathroom, everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast is good, there is something for everyone and the staff and owner are extremely friendly and helpful. I ignored the bad reviews from the past (for the previous operator) and have no regrets. I felt comfortable and would like to come back.
