Once and never again.The hotel and facilities are getting old, the only nice thing was the stream behind the house. It smells musty in the house. Breakfast in pensioner style, if you expect a modern selection of food, you shouldn't go to Bad Harzburg. Communication with employees: difficult. We spent €200 on this: what a shame.

We spent a few days at the Solehotel Tannenhof from Saturday to Wednesday. The food was absolutely excellent and very varied – definitely highly recommended. Unfortunately we had a big problem with our room, number 18.The room was extremely loud because it is located on a busy federal highway. The trucks could be heard clearly from the early hours of the morning. In addition, the room is located directly on the stairs, so you not only hear the people above, but also the use of the stairs. However, this has nothing to do with old building charm. The room itself was very well maintained, and the mattress, which was initially uncomfortable, could be adjusted by rotating it, which solved the problem.After the first two nights we were allowed to move to a better room for one night. The contrast was huge and we were finally able to relax. So we decided to spend another night in room 18 - a total mistake. The room is so noisy that the screaming of a child woke us up at 4:15 a.m. After a brief attempt to get back to sleep, we were woken up again by the noise, this time from the trucks. On the day of departure we were completely exhausted from this restless night.It's sad that this room is even offered. It urgently needs better insulation from all sides. If we were to visit this hotel again, we would only do so in one of the deluxe rooms, where you can really relax. The hotel manager was very accommodating so we could really relax for two days. However, the end of our vacation was a disaster. You can relax much better in a tent or a youth hostel than in room 18.I would also like to say that most of the staff are very friendly and know their work. The hotel manager's actions were also very good. If you have any problems, you should contact the staff directly, as most will try to find solutions or lend an open ear. The food is definitely value for money - it's really very good. Due to the circumstances, which can only partially be influenced by the staff, I give the hotel 4 out of 5 stars because they really made an effort. However, I give the room 1 out of 5 stars, but the deluxe room 5 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, this one star has to be missing because of the horror nights. Nevertheless, thanks to the staff and the manager and especially to the fantastic kitchen.

The hotel is located in a very noisy area, with a loud stream/river at the back and a busy street at the front. We had a large, fairly clean room/2 rooms that showed clear signs of wear. In your own home, 3-4 renovation cycles would have been skipped.The shower was tiny but warm.The thermal baths, which can be used freely during opening times, were ok, but not really worth recommending.The food in the restaurant is very good, good German cuisine is served without any experiments.You should be able to walk easily to the hotel as there is no elevator.As in many hotels in this price range, the staff is nice.

We spent a wonderful little break at the Hotel Tannenhof. From the friendliness and competence of all employees to the excellent food, 3/4 board is highly recommended, simply fantastic. Positive:- friendly staff- direct access to the thermal baths- central location for excursions- nice restaurant- rich breakfast buffetNegative:- very loud due to the main street and the many trucks- Furniture in the rooms is getting old- Elevator smells unpleasant- Beds are very uncomfortable- Blackout options are not sufficient in summer- Parking situation is sometimes awkward- only one vegetarian evening mealOverall, unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right here.

We stayed there for two nights, we really enjoyed it.The staff was very friendly and the thermal baths worked great too.If you like you can play billiards or table football in the winterberg house.Breakfast is all there too, if you complain it's your own fault🤣Will definitely come back. Thank you 😘

A 1/2 point deduction due to the choice of food at the 3/4 board. Not quite so cheap for picky eaters with some intolerances. However, you could also choose something from the menu. The food itself was fantastic.Hotel very quaint, not a super modern, stylish atmosphere. Fortunately! Staff across the board were very friendly, nice and attentive. Location very central. We would love to come back 😊

We stayed at the Tannenhof and the thermal baths for a weekend, we really enjoyed it. The price-performance ratio and the breakfast were great. The service was very nice. We'll definitely be back!

It is a family-run hotel. There's a lot of heart and soul in this. There are different room categories. Junior suites, double rooms and soon also deluxe double rooms.What's really nice is the connection to the brine thermal baths, which we used extensively because of the weather.Our wishes were fulfilled, even though employees had to start work earlier. Thank you again for that!The food is very good, no wish is too much here either. The service is friendly and fast (both at reception and in service).The hotel is the ideal starting point for adventures.There are enough parking spaces available. There are 2 electric charging stations in front of the sister hotel next door. Unfortunately, these were often occupied by petrol engines, so that they were not available for refueling.There is also a room in the sister hotel where board games, a table football table and a pool table are available for use.Thank you for the lovely family break. We will be back. The next vacation is already booked 😁

Dear team from Solehotel Tannenhof,Thanks for a great stay!As soon as I arrived I was greeted by an extremely friendly and courteous reception team. The familiar atmosphere and the inviting ambience immediately made me feel at home.The tasteful modern furnishings of the room exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness and comfort made me feel like I was in a real home away from home.Every meal was a culinary delight. The ¾ board with the three-course menu that changes every evening is particularly recommended.The hotel's own thermal bath access is of course the absolute highlight! The saunas, pools and massages were perfect for revitalizing the body and mind. The view from the wellness area of the Bad Harzburg nature and the castle hill also contributed to my relaxation.Overall, I can unreservedly recommend the Solehotel Tannenhof.I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I don't even know how to startI'm just shocked! A certain lady in this hotel should work on her friendliness towards the guests! Or consider whether she missed the job. In my opinion, customers are king. We come from further away and don't know each other. When asked where the chunk was and how best to reach it, the lady only replied: Are you kidding me!!!! And then laugh at us too! So sorry, that kind of behavior doesn't work at all. In general she comes across as very annoyed and it's best not to talk to her at all. When a man at the table next to us tipped over a glass, she was really angry and annoyed and complained to the man, sorry, but that's not possible! In the evening we wanted to have something to drink. Then she just said that she was already off work! Hello, it's the weekend and 9 p.mWe then said that we just wanted to take something to drink back to the room. Then she rolled her eyes again and told us we could go to the gas station. The drinks would be too expensive here. It's probably up to us where we buy the drinks. If you don't want to make money please. Then, annoyed, she gave us a small cola and a small non-carbonated Fanta. Honestly unbelievable. I would like to give 0 stars just because of this lady. But dinner was delicious and I'm looking forward to breakfast tomorrow morning, after all a lot has already been laid out this evening. The rooms are very old and the mattresses are worn out.

We were totally thrilled with everything 👍👍A nice hotel, great breakfast, the staff was very friendly. The use of the brine thermal baths was also great. We used the thermal baths every afternoon. Everything is easily accessible from the hotel and you get tips from the hotel staff. We I'd love to come back and ride my bike to the Brocken a second time 💪💪🍀

Very unfriendly staff. We weren't guests, but we used one of the two public charging stations (next door to the Solehotel Winterberg).When we came back, there was a bus with a trailer next to us at the second loading option that wasn't charging (apparently someone from the hotel) and a car behind us, so we couldn't drive away. Later an employee came and seriously asked us if we even had an electric car. Yes, no, it's clear, I simply put a cable there, painted an E on the license plate and stood there. As I said, it was a public charging station and I charged my car until I got back. This is no reason to park myself completely and then allow myself to be insulted as “yes, yes, the Ossis again”.Host friendliness is really something else and all these years we have always received a very friendly welcome in Bad Harzburg.
