Rooms (the 44) were a bit carelessly furnished and somehow musty. There are also air fresheners everywhere in the hotel, but that makes it even worse. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were super nice and helpful. The food in the restaurant was quite tasty, but the portion was extremely small. Really too small. This applied to the liver spaetzle soup (tiny) as well as to the butcher plate. You kind of expect meat... then there were 2 tiny thin slices of pork that had been cooked for far too long. Not even a side salad. Bread was no longer 100% fresh and two dishes didn't come as ordered. We didn't complain because we had already waited a while and were hungry. The guests at the next table also looked very sad at their small portions. We travel around a lot for work, so we can compare... it's better to take 2 euros more.

Here is a longer version of the review:The family-run Mayerhofer inn has a long tradition. As soon as you enter the restaurant you can feel the very warm atmosphere that is typical of a family business. The furnishings radiate cosiness and convey the charm of traditional Bavarian inns. The food was a real highlight – regional, fresh and of high quality. I was particularly impressed by the attentive and friendly service, which helped you immediately feel welcome. The location next to the Aldersbach Monastery also makes the hotel particularly attractive. You can tell that a lot of attention is paid to details here - from the loving decoration to the presentation of the food. I will definitely come back and can only recommend this hotel and restaurant if you are looking for true Bavarian hospitality and tradition.

We often eat at the Mayerhofer restaurant in Aldersbach or order something to take away. The food is always very tasty (there are also some dishes available for vegetarians) and the service staff is always friendly and accommodating. Absolutely recommended 👍

Good, Bavarian restaurant where you can stop off. Particularly noteworthy is Sabrina as a service person... With a lot of love for her job and dedication. I have rarely seen a woman who is so passionate about her job. Any time. 🤗

We just picked up food from you and unfortunately it was very disappointing.There was a long hair in the napkin dumpling and the sauce from the roast was very salty.Over-salting can happen to anyone and it's not the worst thing, but I find it very disgusting to have very long head hair in the dumpling.

It's a shame...the fish sausages and the potato salad "made by Mayerhofer Aldersbach", sold at the Fischerfest onJuly 6, 2024 generously deserve only the rating of garbage….Unfortunately there is nothing more...👎👎👎

2 nights in the hotel, from June 29th to July 1st, 2024, the rooms were very clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the food was very good and the waitresses Sabrina and Markus as well as the bosses of this house made you feel like you had arrived, we 3 people. would love to come back,Full points and 3 stars to boot.

Yesterday we had lunch at the inn...We sat in the beer garden in the best weather.It started with a friendly welcome.We were warmly welcomed and served.We travel a lot and often eat at different places.The home-style cuisine we were offered here was almost unbeatable.One hundred percent and simply great.Perfectly prepared by hand.A complete experience for the palate and the eye.Cozy... rustic... clean and overall very nice and harmonious.Highly recommended 👌

Nice place to eat and good staff. The food we got was okay, except for one dish out of 5 we had, the bread was very dry, the roast pork was very tough and dry and the cheese was missing!We wanted to talk to the boss about it and he insulted us very aggressively and said that he didn't need and didn't want guests like us. That's not possible!!! The customer is king, even if things get tricky from time to time!

Had dinner today. Four dishes were fine. Service also nice. However, one dish was not edible (bread dry, cold roast bone dry, cheese was forgotten, ...). After the boss came personally and we confronted him about it, it was an absolutely unprofessional conversation, almost aggressive. No admission, let alone customer, is king. We then said that we would no longer come here, the way it was communicated here, to which the boss said he didn't want or need such guests! And that was just because of one dish that didn't fit... If you look at the other negative reviews, one thing becomes clear. Namely, that the boss himself is absolutely incapable of criticism, let alone a normal conversation. It's always someone else's fault... Either the trainee or another chef, if the boss cooks himself... If nothing else helps, the guest has no idea... What a shame for such a traditional restaurant...

We had a great experience at this eatery! The service was excellent and particularly child-friendly. The weather wasn't ideal for a beer garden with a playground, so we were allowed to sit down in the children's corner to enjoy our ice cream. Thank you for the flexible and friendly atmosphere!

I was eating there yesterday. Ordered roast pork, the meat was too dry, no crust and the dumplings were a disaster. The best thing about the meal was the coleslaw and the beer 🍻. Service 👍👍 fits. That's my personal honest opinion.

Best butcher shop, where the sausage still tastes individual and not everything is the same, like in many other butcher shops.The saleswomen are all super friendly and accommodating.We also enjoy going to the inn again and again. The waitresses already know us and know where we like to sit. The menu always changes depending on the season and there are always new dishes on the menu. Our children love the play area. We give it 5 points.

We had dinner in this lovely, quaint inn last week. It was still decorated for Christmas and I have to say, me and our two friends really liked the atmosphere. What surprised us extremely positively was that there was actually so much choice of vegetarian and even vegan dishes in a Bavarian inn. The waitresses were very on point and super friendly, everything went quickly and even my special requests were implemented very well. I have to say, we haven't eaten so well in a long time. You could tell that everything was freshly prepared. Big praise to the chefs and waitresses. We will certainly come back soon.

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and we have always been very satisfied. The food is very tasty and we look forward to eating there every time. The service is very fast and very friendly, as well as very child-friendly. The hotel rooms are not all up to date, but if something goes wrong with the room, you will easily be offered a new room. There is even a play area for the children. We also took meat from the butcher shop and it was simply delicious. We'd love to come back, it's just a beautiful hotel with very nice staff and a nice boss.
