We were just there to eat. However, it was extremely tasty. Great ambience, fine cuisine, absolutely excellent service. Highly recommended.

We were traveling on motorbikes. Large, restricted parking space available directly at the hotel. The hotel itself is very modern and well maintained, the rooms are quiet with a view of the forest and mountains, and the beds are comfortable. The fragrant rooms, which are completely furnished with wood, are really great.

From the outside it doesn't look like that at all. But a dream from the inside. Great rooms, nice staff, delicious food. We were only there for the first night but you can easily plan a longer stay. We would love to come back

When it comes to digitalization, it's an absolute disaster! You have to pay money for the WLAN / Wifi and pay a lot! In addition, the internet hardly works and is extremely slow. I had to pay €250 for 4 days of WiFi alone, which would have been free in any other hotel.

The BMW Alpenhotel in Ammerwald, Austria, leaves a mixed impression. The first impression was positive: check-in went smoothly and the reception staff were friendly and competent, which made the stay a pleasant start. Unfortunately, this positive impression did not continue at the evening buffet. For 33 euros per person (without drinks) we expected much more. The roast was already gone and we were served meatballs instead - a disappointing substitute. In addition, communicating with the waitresses was difficult because they hardly spoke any German. The rooms are attractively designed, with lots of wood, which creates a cozy atmosphere. However, the sleeping comfort left a lot to be desired: the mattresses were far too soft and only lay on a wooden board. The shower also proved problematic as the floor was extremely slippery and posed a slipping hazard. In the morning, the scenic views of the surrounding mountains made up for some of the inconvenience. Breakfast offers an extensive selection, although regional specialties such as black pudding or brawn as well as croissants and toast are missing. The rolls were “rubbery” and the bacon didn’t live up to expectations either as it was either soggy or burnt.Another point of criticism was the limited free Wi-Fi. With only 2 GB of data volume, this doesn't seem up to date. After the 2GB a lot of costs. The bar was also unsatisfactory because they couldn't/didn't want to prepare any other cocktails that weren't on the menu (approx. 6 pieces). The quick repair service should be highlighted positively: a problem with the room door that was reported in the morning had already been resolved by the time we returned in the evening. The free parking was also convenient, although not always sufficient, which led to a shortage when returning to the hotel later in the evening.Overall, the BMW Alpenhotel in the Ammerwald offers an appealing ambience and an impressive view, but there are some weak points, particularly in the service and facilities, that spoil the stay.

Good value for money for this mountain hotel, perfect location for visiting the castles of Bavaria. The swimming pool and the park are a real plus. The room is basic, functional, stylish but could do with a little more decor. The restaurant, on the other hand, leaves something to be desired, and could do better in terms of the quality of the dishes served. Overall a good experience!

Hotel in a quiet location in the middle of the mountains, bright and clean rooms, friendly staff. We had dinner at the restaurant with an à la carte menu, few dishes but well executed, the breakfast was also very good, more savory but with a lot of choice of fruit, cereals, yoghurt and jams.Highly recommended for a few days of complete relaxation

I like the hotel and the surroundings. Everything you need is there. Small swimming pool with sauna, fitness area, various swimming pool options and it is well located for doing things in the area
