I had the pleasure of taking part in a multi-day training course at the Mercur Hotel and I am completely impressed. The hotel offers a perfect combination of professional training facilities and first-class catering.Training facilities:The training rooms were excellently equipped. Comfortable seating, modern presentation technology (including a projector and fast WiFi) and a quiet atmosphere ensured that our training was productive and pleasant. I found it particularly positive that the hotel provided plenty of breaks and refreshments - water, coffee, tea and small snacks were available at all times.Service:The staff was always friendly, courteous and professional. Every request, be it of a technical nature or regarding special requests, was processed immediately. The support during the breaks was also excellent - the staff took care of all the details so that we could fully concentrate on the content of the training.Food and Drinks:The culinary offering was an absolute highlight. The breakfast buffet already offered a wide selection of fresh, regional products - from fresh fruit and pastries to warm dishes. The lunch and dinner were also outstanding. The menu was varied and creatively designed, with a selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. I was particularly impressed by the freshness and quality of the ingredients as well as the variety of tastes.The selection of drinks also left nothing to be desired. In addition to coffee specialties and teas, there was a fine selection of non-alcoholic drinks.The hotel not only offers first-class training opportunities, but also impresses with an outstanding gastronomic offering. I can highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure stays and look forward to future training courses.

The facilities in the room are a bit old, but there were no problems during our long stay. There is a supermarket nearby that opens early in the morning, and the location is very convenient. It's in a quiet location, so it's very quiet.

Unfortunately, the rooms are pretty run down, but the bathroom is great. The air conditioning struggled to cope with the heat, but it was bearable. New furniture and a more pleasant lighting concept would be appropriate.

Situated in a very convenient location. There is a Rewe with 2 minute walk. Close to the train station and tram. Rooms are reasonably comfortable with a balcony as well.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and I can say that it was very ok. The only thing that bothered me a little was that the room was quite warm and since it was April I wouldn't have wanted to turn on the air conditioning. The room was clean, the linen was clean, and the room was cleaned daily. Older furniture but not in a disturbing way.

Old, in need of renovation and the beds are uncomfortable. Overall very loud. A lot of noise from the street, which can also be heard in the rooms facing the courtyard.Hotel staff is very nice and accommodating. I was able to swap the room facing the street with one facing the inner courtyard. However, it is hardly quieter and people smoke on the balconies, so the smoke comes into the room when you open the window. Overall -> no thanks, never again!

We booked the wrong dates, in the bussiest period of the year the staff manager helped us to recieve a decent room after all (past midnight) ... Good room, great and rich breakfast. Easy public transport. We are thankful.

Just one night was enough for me to realize that it is a neglected, dark and old hotel.The room smelled of storage, the fridge was not refrigerated, the small terrace in the room was dirty and without paint.There was no kettle or coffee cups.The basics to spend the night.

It was clean but the rooms need an upgrade, the decor was a bit depressing. The personnel were helpful and very efficient.The biggest problem were the trams passing under your window. They were busy until late at night and started operating very early in the morning. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest you request a room away from the road below.
