All in all very pretty! SPA is very clean and has everything you need. The restaurant is always full and the food is fresh and delicious every day. We had the top room with a sloping ceiling, which can be a bit disadvantageous for taller people and it could have been a little more modern. Otherwise everything was great for a weekend to switch off. We'd love to come back again.

Unfortunately, unfortunately, unfortunately only 2 out of 5 stars. The hotel has great potential and could receive more stars, but the rating is lower due to the following points:*The main building, which is right on the street, is very outdated in terms of the rooms and the toilet in the room smelled very bad. It should go without saying that housekeeping cleans the room every day and if there are such smells, the hotel staff should be alert and resolve the problem professionally. The shower cubicles are already so worn out that rust can be seen everywhere. Very unpleasant and disgusting for guests! The carpet in the room smells unpleasant and is already very worn. The rooms are 0% recommended. What it looks like in the guest houses in the backyard cannot be assessed at this point.*In a 3-star hotel it should be expected that an intercultural cuisine that takes different faiths into account and that at least one dish from a 5-course menu is not made from pork or alcohol and is served.Despite the disappointing selection, the staff made an effort to experiment with a new dish.Neither in the morning nor in the afternoon were the types of sausage labeled and of course there was no type without pork at this point... very disappointing and sometimes discriminatory.Pro: The food tastes very good, a big compliment to the chef.*The travel cot that was provided for a baby could not be used because it had holes on each side and was therefore completely unhygienic. Please be sure to get an extra bed for babies and use it carefully...Due to these circumstances, the lower rating is inevitable. That's really a shame because the spa area and the hotel staff really deserve a 5-star rating. Hopefully the information will help the staff to change something about the points mentioned.Thank you for everything!

Place booked because it is pet friendly. Small, shabby room. Had dinner on site and thanks to a waitress, who despite speaking nothing but German, managed to feed us. Breakfast wasn't ready when we left, maybe we misunderstood the time, but they only speak German here. Even expensive, considering everything. I would definitely not stay here again

Were there with a larger group. Orders were ordered and served quite quickly. The food was delicious, very warm and the service was very friendly and accommodating. The only problem the robot had was when it came to finding its way when things got too tight.I also found the restaurant very nice and cozy, the renovation didn't hurt the ox, on the contrary.

I stayed at the Hotel Ochsen with my partner for about a week at the beginning of August. We parked at the fire station, where there was always a space available. The staff at reception were always very friendly and helpful, even when we once forgot our key cards in the room. The food in the restaurant was really good and the waiters there were also very friendly. The process worked smoothly and well organized. What we particularly liked was the spa, which is open until 10 p.m. So we could relax there after the day trips and dinner. The infrared cabin, sauna and experience showers were perfect for tired muscles. If you are expecting a swimming pool, it would be better to find out more about the facilities instead of complaining about it.Our room was in the attic of the old building, which meant it was usually very warm in the evenings. We left the windows open overnight. If this bothers you, you should book a room in the new building, as it is probably cooler there. Since we were out all day, this didn't bother us that much. Everything was very clean and we felt comfortable. Gladly again 😊 Our conclusion to some of the criticism here: It's better to be informed and read instead of being disappointed because expectations are not met. 👍

Nice big rooms. Unfortunately ours faced the street, which made it a bit loud. But totally fine for 2 nights. The food was very tasty, it just took a while until it was refilled. That should work a little faster. The waitress was responsible for us alone. Very friendly, but with 50 people who are all thirsty, it would make sense to have two waitresses, at least until everyone has had one drink. Overall it was a nice stay and I also think that everything is gradually being renovated.

Comfort rooms facing the street are not recommended. The truck and car traffic is really loud.Parking spaces behind the Hsus are simply closed for paid reservations without warning and you can then see where you park. The recommended public parking lot at the fire station was also full. Customer service looks different.

Small, nice hotel with good food, unfortunately located right on the main street and despite our room facing the castle park, the traffic could be heard all night long (with the window open).
