Tools Hotel Laichingen/Ulm

Pretty new.Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.Elevator broken in 4 floors hotel building and there is only one elevator.Reception not occupied after 9 p.m., despite the elevator breakdown.The access terminal in front of the door is only bilingual, the customers are multilingual and had a hard time.There is only one coffee machine on for breakfast. The second one is parked next to it.The arrangement at the breakfast buffet takes some getting used to and is spread around the room and seems a bit careless.The only ashtray in front of the hotel forms a heap. Not cleaned in a while.The price-performance ratio may be good. I still didn't like the house.

I really don't like to give a negative review. But in this case it was so terrible that I have no choice. In another review from June this year, I had read that the elevator was broken. I was here at the end of October, and the elevator was still broken! And without even mentioning that, we were placed in a room on the 4th floor. The way up was certainly not fun for my COPD. In the room itself I found a bed that was only made for 1 person. I found the other bed linen stuffed in the cupboard. Pillows that I would call completely hopeless and useless. Because they are rags. Luckily I always travel with my own pillow. There were only 2 clothes hooks in the wardrobe. A small hotel has at least 6 of them. During the night you hear a constant humming sound. As if the washing machine next door started spinning. Very irritating of course. I walked around the hallway looking for where that sound came from. I suspect it was the ventilation. A bathroom that you cannot really call super clean, nor does it offer shampoo or shower lotion. And then breakfast...I saw some toppings, juices and boiled eggs, but no sandwiches. I asked the ladies who were noisily drying clean dishes in the kitchen, and was pointed to the other side of the breakfast room. So I didn't think it was presented logically like that. And after all the stairs, searching for bread and coffee, you think you can have a leisurely breakfast. You are allowed to listen to noisy staff in the kitchen uninvited and very unwillingly. And the biggest disturbance for me was the other guests, who were loudly talking on the phone with their work. Where has the decency gone? I personally think that the hotel should guard against this. Every guest should have the right to have breakfast in peace. I have never felt so terribly irritated. And I was happy that it was only for 1 night in transit. I'll never come here again. I would take every star off, and certainly don't recommend this. What I also found very striking is that the windows on the 4th floor could be opened completely. So if you become suicidal because of all the annoyances, there is an easy way out. Strange that this is possible. Very strange.

Good location, clean and nice rooms. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is also very good. The elevator is currently broken. But this will be repaired promptly. We have probably been there for the fourth or fifth time and have never been disappointed.

Clean, modern, good beds, no shelf in the shower, no additional hooks for towels in the bathroom, flat. Water complementary!

The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable. The price is too high in my opinion. The breakfast was a complete disappointment.We only booked because we were at a wedding and the bride wanted to have breakfast with us. The elevator was broken during our stay, luckily our room was only on the 2nd floor.

Stayed here one night on the way. Nice rooms, breakfast surprised by its variety.

We celebrated our wedding in the Urban-Industrial and chose a room in the Tools Hotel. The booking was made via email because we were making reservations for several guests. It went smoothly. The room was clean and in good condition. There was also enough choice at breakfast. We were satisfied. Visually the hotel is very appealing and our getting ready pictures turned out great too.

Unfortunately, after telephone confirmation, it is not possible to check in after 8 p.m. or whenever the reception is open! You can't reach anyone at the emergency number! For the second evening in a row we are left with the door closed and have to look for alternatives! Not recommended! Good staff is hard to find and definitely not here! Never again!The Alb Inn Hotel or the Ochsen in Merklingen are much more recommended here!
