Price/performance is perfect. Not suitable for people who have difficulty climbing stairs, as the rooms can only be accessed via the stairs. Nice service, so an earlier check-in was possible. It's right in the middle of the city center. Baker and butcher right next to it for supplies. The Elbe is a 5-minute walk away.

Accommodation in the center of Tangermünde, above the info center.Attic apartment, with basic equipment, ideal for a sleepover.Unfortunately, I did not meet the staff, the handover of the keys was in the form of a pre-sent code from the safe.Everything was sent in advance, both to the mobile phone and to Booking messages, so there was no problem and I thank you for your willingness - unlike other accommodations (see Penzion Sellent Stendal - where the staff will try to contact you by phone and if they do not allow you, they do not deal with you further and will leave you to the rescue...).It is an attic apartment, simply furnished, it must be decently hot in the summer.However, it is enough to sleep and I was satisfied.Thank you!

Tangermünde is my home and a beautiful old historic city. The accommodation "Zum Schmuckgiebel" has an excellent location opposite the town hall.We received a warm welcome and simply felt very comfortable for 4 nights (May 2024).We can heartily recommend this accommodation and we will come back there again.

Best location in town. Fixed next to the tourist office. Very helpful lady who helped us to the rooms. Town is definitely worth a visit

The holiday apartment is centrally located with a view of the beautiful decorative gable. The apartment was spacious, clean and functional. Directly above the tourist information office. That was very practical. This meant we always had our local contacts. Tangermünde is definitely worth a visit. A pretty and old town where there is still plenty of life, shops, gastronomy and beautiful surroundings.However, there is one complaint in the apartment, which is the lack of heating in the bathrooms. It is also not in the inventor's interest to heat the bathroom via the adjoining rooms. It was below zero at night, so you wanted a warm bath in the morning.Apart from that, we can recommend the apartment with a clear conscience!

All the staff at the tourist information office, which also rents out the room, are extremely friendly and helpful. Communication via email was friendly and always quick. Our arrival was slightly delayed due to some diversions. Nevertheless, the welcome in Tangermünde was warm and moving into the room was easy. We got a locked parking space for our motorcycles in the immediate vicinity of our room for little money - TOP! The room itself is very comfortably furnished, clean and quite elegant. And this view directly onto the gable of the town hall, which is even illuminated at night. Something like that stays in your memory. When it's 37°C outside, it gets quite hot even in the guesthouse under the roof. But anyone who has ever slept in an attic knows this. It would have been nice to be able to turn the shower temperature down to cool in the evening. But that was the only, tiny point of criticism. Breakfast not included. However, there are two bakers right on site where you can have a hearty breakfast. Tangermünde is worth a trip. And there's no better way to start your day than from here.

We booked through Booking and decided to extend shortly beforehand. Everything worked out great. The tourism info was nice and helpful. The room (ours with a view of the town hall) was nice. However, there is no wastebasket/trash can in the room and a shelf in the shower. The mattresses on the double bed are very soft!Otherwise it is a nice and comfortably furnished room.

The room was good, only the beds made noise when you turned around. It was clean and the view was very nice. What a shame that at €75 a night for 2 people there is no breakfast included.

Clean, tidy guesthouse with a view of the historic town hall. Simple affordable breakfast. Unfortunately it's located between two cobblestone streets. Since the sidewalks are folded up in the evening, you can still sleep well.
