Rooms on the ground floor facing the street are very noisy due to cobblestones. Friendly reception with extensive information.

The greeting from the young man at reception was businesslike. He explained what was available where and when etc. Linguistically not a warm welcome. Yes, the location of the hotel in the middle of the old town is very good, but that's about it. We were here as a couple for our 10th wedding anniversary (I mentioned this when booking). In another hotel on the Baltic Sea there was a champagne cooler with Prosecco in the room, a very lovingly written card and the bed was lovingly decorated.Nothing here!!! The champagne in the fridge was part of the package I had booked. The room is small, the carpet is dirty with stains. The mattresses were sagging, the windows were dirty and since the room didn't have air conditioning, we had to leave the windows open to the noisy street without fly screens. Thank goodness we brought earplugs.In the breakfast room there is a finger of dust on the refrigerator next to the rolls. The chef makes scrambled eggs for about 4-5 people and about 25 guests. So it's either be quick or wait...Otherwise nothing special, more of a boring breakfast. All in all, the house is getting old and needs to be renovated. Cobwebs, dust and worn furniture have no charm for me.

We stayed here as a family for 4 nights. I have to say in advance that I only partially understand the many negative reports. Our room was basically really great. The carpeting already has stains and the faux leather cover on the bed was crumbling. Nevertheless the room was great. You could actually take a little money and invest a little here so that everything really fits in the end. It didn't really bother us that much.The rest of the hotel is really charming and the staff was always friendly.The breakfast was also completely ok. If you want to complain here, then I would like to see some variety rather than the same offer every day. After 4 days it gets a bit boring.Overall we were satisfied and would come again.But my tip to the hotel:You really have a top location and a property that has more charm than many others. Invest in the “little things” and complete everything.

The hotel is perfectly located for easily exploring the city on foot.There is a paid parking lot directly at the hotel (€12). There is also a free parking lot nearby.We were warmly welcomed into the hotel. From the outside the hotel makes an impressive impression. Inside, the decor is showing its age, but we thought it had a certain charm. In particular, the breakfast room with the creaky floorboards was great.The room was clean and perfectly fine.There was a good selection at breakfast. There were several types of rolls, bread, yogurt, cereal, various cold cuts, vegetables and a coffee machine.

The location is ideal and the external impression is impressive.But inside it doesn't live up to expectations. We had 2 double rooms in the old building. But the best years here lie far, far behind. Both rooms were very “shabby”. The floor tiles in the bathroom were partially broken and wobbling. In one of the rooms the shower door was raked out and no longer closed tightly. Parking in the courtyard is subject to a fee, €12.00 per night.Breakfast is very clear, on weekdays there were 2 types of cheese, on weekends 3 types. There is a finish sauna and a steam bath, which are included.The staff is friendly and the rooms (which are only cleaned upon specific request) are clean. There are kettles, tea and coffee and water in the rooms.This house has more potential, but something urgently needs to be done.

Hotel is very old. The room itself was okay, the bathroom was just okay because of traces of mold in the shower, but the toilet was clean. The kettle with tea and instant coffee in the room was also nice. Outside the room, however, all the carpets in the hallways were discolored, faded and stained.Door handles very low like in the Middle Ages. The building was extremely noisy so we couldn't sleep through a single night out of 4. There was very little going on, but the few normal noises from other guests were completely transmitted in the very noisy building. The cleaning staff actually made the most noise: an outdated, loudly clattering laundry cart and a very loud, powerful shaking of the bed, which could be heard across the entire hallway, even with the door closed due to lack of hearing.The breakfast wasn't bad but absolutely basic, especially considering that it is advertised on the outside door as €14.50. There were 3 types of rolls, 1 type of bread, various cereals with side dishes such as dried fruit, cheese and sausage, cold cuts and boiled eggs as well as mini sausages. What was definitely missing were baked beans. Optionally, a fried egg and a potato side dish such as croquettes could have been available in a hotel that would give an "upscale" appearance. Unfortunately, there wasn't a single hearty vegan spread such as hummus, so as a vegan you could only eat muesli or jam. The felt pad at the breakfast table seemed unhygienic as it can only be shaken off and not wiped.The hotel's own parking lot costs an additional €12 per night, which we found to be excessive and therefore parked outside.3 € tourist tax per person per night is an additional 6 € per day to the city of Quedlinburg, where we also asked ourselves how the money would be spent, because weeds were growing everywhere.The wellness area was good in itself, but unfortunately it was not allowed in the morning but only from 2 p.m. and a small portion of pure water was available for the sauna infusion, which did NOT contain any essential oil. The rental coat was free, which we thought was very good.All in all, the hotel has a lot of potential, which has not been fully exploited even though there are no (corona-related) restrictions:- Renovate carpets- Expand breakfast- Wellness area more flexible and with a selection of scents for the infusion- Hygiene of the shower in the room- Friendlier parking fee- Cleaning staff could work more quietlyIf the points mentioned were all consistent, you could easily ignore the lack of hearing due to age (bring earplugs), as it is a very good starting point for a holiday in the area.There is potential for savings if you leave out the self-created daily "daily brochure" with excursion suggestions and the weather at each table and replace it with an information monitor.
