B&B Hotels yes - B&B Magdeburg no thanks.There is no communication between the employees and the guests; what you have discussed with one employee is not passed on and you have to discuss it again with most of them. So my entry code suddenly changed and I wasn't informed and the employee didn't inform me either. When I wanted to go to the counter because I couldn't get into my room, the lobby was suddenly full with 50 people and one employee was completely overwhelmed. At some point they started arguing with the guests, getting mushy and rolling their eyes. Can't you employ several employees if you know that 50 new guests want to check in on one day? You can imagine that there will be a lot going on and that one person won't be able to keep up, right? Why is such staff being saved? So I decided to walk outside for two hours because I obviously couldn't get into my room. After two hours the lobby was still full and a gentleman stood up for me so that I could get a turn. At this point, thanks to the gentleman . I was extremely tired because I had an 8-hour meeting all day and just wanted to go to bed. The bed was then a small single bed, which was much too small and I almost fell out of every night. The bathroom was probably a disabled bathroom, which looked really ugly and very old. The towels were very, very worn, they were thin and old, some were also stained. What particularly disappointed me was that the plastic disposable toothbrush, which you can get for free in any decent hotel upon request, cost €3. The toothpaste is enough for two uses. Also disappointing that with such a rush of people (that was just the case on some days) there was only one coffee machine at the breakfast buffet where there was a long queue and I was missing eggs for breakfast. Otherwise, the breakfast buffet was actually the best thing about the hotel. I compared my hotel with other work colleagues and Iris was actually significantly better. Even those who had an Airbnb spent their days much better than I did. The next time I'm in Magdeburg there will definitely be another hotel or another Airbnb.

We stayed 4 nights in the B&B City Hotel in Magdeburg as a family + grandparents. The staff was super nice and competent. The breakfast was very rich and tasty, especially the chocolate cream from darbo, which you could get from a chocolate cream dispenser, was delicious. The price-performance ratio was absolutely great. The rooms were quite small and there were only a few options for putting clothes in the closet. But that didn't bother us that much since we were out and about during the day anyway. By the way, Magdeburg is a very beautiful city worth seeing!

We booked a double room with breakfast for three nights and were completely satisfied. We would love to come back and we generally feel comfortable in B&B hotels because we appreciate exactly what others criticize: functionally furnished, rather simple rooms, but equipped with everything you need. The breakfast buffet was again well stocked, with something for every taste.

The room was very clean. Highly recommended for a short vacation. The staff was friendly and helpful. The small drawback was that the machine for warm drinks wasn't 100% working. I can really recommend the hotel.

The hotel was easy to reach, the parking lot was well signposted, the rooms were good, it was just very warm and it was difficult to ventilate because the room was right on the street and next to the neon sign

I stayed at this hotel for one night and was really impressed by how quiet the room was - despite the central location.The stay was very relaxing, which was mainly due to the comfortable beds, which ensured a restful night.What I found particularly positive was the quick and uncomplicated check-in directly at the machine at the entrance - without any waiting time. The free parking spaces are also a big plus. As a bonus there was free Sky TV, which further increased comfort.All in all, a completely successful stay. I would love to come back and can highly recommend the hotel!

I have appreciated the quality of B&B hotels for many years. The rooms are well equipped and the locations can only be distinguished from each other by the wall design.In Magdeburg I have a single room for the first time. For the price for which I previously got a queen size bed, I now spend a restless night on a narrow cot. The friendly receptionist offers me an upgrade - but for the total price I could have stayed in other houses in the area of better quality.The lack also reigns in the barrier-free bathroom: the sloping edge of the sink is the only storage space. Rarely have you had so little peace and quiet as here. Even now, around half past midnight, doors are being opened every minute and people are running through the doors. I have no idea what's going on here. The parking lot is very small and you rarely get a space, but it doesn't cost extra so it's not a minus but not a plus point either. Breakfast is rather poor for the price. Dry rolls and cold cuts from the package into the display. A little too little selection for me personally. The first room had mold, but I was immediately assigned a new room and the behavior of the staff was exemplary. The rooms actually have the bare essentials and are clean. In the end, the sound of the guests among each other is still an imposition. The low prices probably attract people without education. And that wouldn't be taken into account structurally either. For a cheap overnight stay without breakfast it's really ok. For someone like me who spends a week here for work, I really can't recommend it.Right now, as I'm writing, I hear the guy next door having a nice, dry cough and then again. I don't know what he's doing for the cough. I'd have a drink, he'd probably rather throw a stool across the room. You'll get it.But the location is really cool, the cathedral is around the corner. Reception is very friendly and helpful.

We spontaneously extended it for another night because we were very satisfied. Perfect for a weekend in Magdeburg. Central location and therefore very worthwhile, especially with children. The breakfast is very good for the price.
