I went to dinner at the restaurant there. The food was a pure feast for the palate.The chef is unique, the waitress is the good soul of the restaurant.

Rooms have seen better days, but they are very clean, the location is terrific and there is no better service at any hotel in Harsewinkel than at the Poppenborg.

We had a relaxing evening on the garden terrace with great food and great service. The breakfast was more than sufficient. We felt very welcome. Thank you for everything.

The owners are very nice and accommodating, but the rooms are a disaster. We stayed here for one night due to a celebration nearby. We currently have a crawling child and discovered two well-filled cockroach traps under the bed! Even when we came into the room late in the evening, we found two live and one dead cockroaches in our room. There were both dead and living people in the stairwell and hallway. Our window was so overgrown with ivy that it was already partially coming through the walls?! For 100€ a night I was just shocked...

We needed accommodation at fairly short notice after an assembly. A small, cozy but very central, friendly and owner-managed family house. We felt completely comfortable, nothing was missing and the price/performance ratio is second to none. The food was excellent and the boss himself got up half an hour earlier to serve us for breakfast. When we're in the corner we'll definitely come back! Thank you!

Best thing about the hotel are it's people, the service is very good. Hotel is old and you can see that not much was invested recently. Food is very good as well. Breakfast is typical German or you can have scrambled eggs as well. Dinner is very good as well.

Rooms not cleaned, empty drink bottles on the table, dirty bathroom. Rooms and furnishings very run down, some mold on the walls.

We were here to eat. The selection of starters and main courses was selected. The dishes chosen were nicely prepared and tasteful. Unfortunately the service was overwhelmed and there was no dessert.

We had dinner here today: it was a dream!! The food is of very good quality, we had different fish and it melted in our mouths. Additionally, warm service from the owner (her husband cooked for us). For dessert, crème brulee with tonka bean ice cream. A feast for the palate and eyes. Thank you very much and all the best from the bottom of my heart.
