The hotel is a bit away from the big Kassel, in a beautiful forest area. We were there for one night or 2 nights. In just a few minutes by car you can be in the center of Kassel. Everything you could want is there. The hotel is perfect, not to say fantastic. The friendliness, the room and especially the breakfast are a dream. It's definitely worth considering this house a little outside of Kassel. We are thrilled and can only recommend it!!

The food is artificially chichi and exaggerated; Clearly inappropriate for a hiking/excursion restaurant. Unnecessarily transparent and artificially inflated. If you look at it objectively, the bubble bursts quickly. However, very good and friendly service. I appreciate and judge good food, but you have to look at the whole thing. Also price and performance. Chichi can't always cover up something - here it's too obvious.In the forest and on the hike you would expect a well-kept restaurant here, also with down-to-earth food at relatively fair prices. All of this stuff is meant to distract from the very low use of materials and the prices that are too high. Let's please leave the church in the village! E.g.: Steak bread with a mini bowl of salad for 24€ (see picture 😆) - good thing that there is also a bit of thin meat and carrot and cabbage snippets that can be counted on your fingers between the roll. At least the good, plentiful and properly buttered roll is filling. Fortunately. And, for example, the asparagus soup, which has no creaminess, is quickly submerged without actually touching any pieces of asparagus. Among other things, sad!As always, a little knowledge of gastronomy would benefit some guests and enable a correct assessment.

Beautiful hotel run by incredibly great, friendly and competent people! The food is also excellent! We felt super comfortable with the child and dog. The suite with sauna is spacious, modernly furnished and the sauna is an absolute highlight!

Quietly tucked away in the woods, this beautiful hotel&restaurant emerges. We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Beds are so amazing we are considering ordering the same size for at home. We have a daughter with special needs that arent directly visible. When telling the staff, they have been very supporting. They went out of their way to arrange food specifically for her. It almost impossible to describe how well we felt at home here. Thank you! We will definitely visit again!

Fantastic location in the middle of the forest. Curved parking spaces available. The service is always friendly and attentive. The rooms and the ambience of the house are clean and wonderfully decorated. Someone is putting a lot of effort into it. Dogs welcome. One hundred in the room ready with a surprise package. There is nothing missing for the wow too. Dinner was delicious. The wine advice is excellent. Special requests are no problem. Here the guest is still king.

We were able to have our civil wedding at the Waldhotel Elfbuchen and then celebrate there in a small circle. From the start the service was very courteous and helpful. Even though there were a lot of weddings and celebrations taking place at the same time during the day, we definitely didn't miss out. The fireplace room was perfect for our needs. The (very tasty) menu catered completely to our wishes - and there is always an extra menu for children if required. We felt very comfortable - thank you very much.

A family celebration that was a success! This was particularly due to the successful food, the attentive staff, who were friendly even in the hustle and bustle, the romantic location of the house and its well-kept ambience. Again and again!

Great idyllic spot! Such a delicious cake, very hospitable. Everything is well maintained and appealing, you immediately feel at home and can relax... I haven't stayed overnight yet, it's certainly very nice!

Incredibly beautiful, smaller hotel in the middle of the forest, about 20 minutes on foot from Herkules. The hotel and the rooms are newly renovated, everything is very nice and high quality. Breakfast at the table left nothing to be desired. Very nice service. The location is secluded and quiet, so it also offers the opportunity for walks or bike rides.
