We were in the restaurant and had a great meal. After dinner we had a few cocktails that the boss made and they were so delicious that we couldn't drive or walk anymore. So we slept there, right in the city center in the middle of beautiful Allendorf. We had a great breakfast with salmon and local Ahler sausage. In short, we'd love to come by again for a nice weekend with an all-round program.

Main hotel at Pelikans Krone. In my opinion, simply first class. I'm only rating the location here and not the rooms.

When checking in there was a spa card and a voucher booklet with which you can get discounts and park for free in paid parking spaces.Since there were few guests, we had to say in advance when we wanted to have breakfast and tick what we wanted to eat using a block of breakfast treats available.I found the room itself cozy and the bed very soft, which I slept well in.In the room there was a capsule machine and 3 capsules so that you can make coffee. The room has a TV and there was a power socket on each side of the bed. There is enough lighting and light switches were also on the bed.The background noise was quiet and pleasant. The breakfast the next morning was gigantic, delicious and you were full. The service here was also very friendly. Now, unfortunately, to the unpleasant points, which is why points were deducted. The heating in the room and bathroom only got lukewarm, even though it was turned on fully. The bathroom has no windows and was really cold, especially the toilet seat. An absolute no go for rheumatic sufferers. Before the trip we told the friendly lady at reception who wanted to pass the whole thing on.When we returned it was still cold and showering became an uncomfortable ordeal. Going to the toilet and the very cold toilet seat were also very uncomfortable for both of us.The WiFi connection was often lost, so I decided to use my own connection. It took a long time for the water in the sink to warm up. In addition, the sink is very small and after washing my face the floor was very splattered, even though I tried to prevent it. The shower door didn't close completely, so the floor in front of the shower got pretty wet. There were toiletries in the shower in the form of 2 in 1, which included shampoo and shower gel.If the cold, especially in the bathroom, hadn't been so uncomfortable when going to the toilet and you didn't have to mop the floor after washing and showering, it would have been given full marks.Apart from these points, it was a great stay, but we have to thank outside the hotel for it.Price-performance ratio rather bad than good.Addendum:My companion also rated it on booking and mentioned the cold bath. Due to the hotel's reaction to the review that the problem had been resolved, which is an absolute lie, there is a deduction. That's rude and a reason not to book this hotel anymore.
