I can't judge the rooms. The food was overcooked and the other didn't even have a leaf of lettuce. Otherwise just fast food. Therefore not recommended. It was better once, what a shame.

I can only rate the Geisschänke from a gastronomic perspective. I was very satisfied with my last and first visit. There was roast, Thuringian dumplings, red cabbage. I learned to be a chef over 45 years ago, but I couldn't have done it any better. I'm looking forward to next year when we (borderers) meet there again. I can't comment on the hotel or guesthouse either because I didn't spend the night there.

We were cycling today. On the way back we were in the Geisschänke...in the beer garden.Very good food...was very tasty 10 points...again and again.

I don't recommend it, if you're a foreigner don't even pay attention! A very nervous lady came, she said that the kitchen was closed even though people were eating at the tables.

We ate there, Rostbrätel in the beer garden, highly recommended, very tasty.Unfortunately, the nice boss forgot to order a meal from the chef.Overall, the waiting time from ordering the food to enjoying it was quite long. You get the feeling that when there's a lot going on, one service isn't enough.We can't say anything about the guesthouse itself, we didn't stay there.

About the food: dinner was very good! Fresh cuisine with homemade, regional dishes. Likewise the breakfast. Lots of choice, fresh food with homemade spreads.The guest rooms: unfortunately the rooms were very unclean, which is why my rating is so low. In addition to lots of cobwebs, crushed mosquitoes on the wall, torn wallpaper strips, a bit of a musty smell and a dirty bathroom, the furnishings are very rustic and simple, which in principle wouldn't be a problem as long as everything else is clean.Location: The location of the restaurant is ideal for hikers. Within a very short time you have access to many beautiful hiking trails around Geisa.Conclusion: Definitely a BIG recommendation for eating and using the cozy beer garden. But unfortunately the guest rooms are not comfortable.
