What happened? In any case, something must have happened, because this is actually no longer the hotel that appears on the website. Neither the restaurant nor the historic wine cellar is functional. Not only is the entrance door always locked, it is also rotting from below. As far as we can tell, the hallway on the ground floor is full of dirt, there is an unpleasant, musty smell, and the paint in the stairwell is peeling off the walls because of the noticeable moisture. A reception, if it ever existed, was not visible. Our room wasn't prepared yet - even though there were obviously no other guests (sic!).Actually, only the location and the free parking space in the courtyard, which also appears very untidy, are positive. It doesn't help if the landlord is extremely nice, helpful and polite. This house desperately needs a complete fresh start.

Very nice, rustic hotel where Emperor Charles V already slept. Nice rooms, very good breakfast and polite service. The hotel is very centrally located. There is no elevator to this old house (1336). We would be happy to come back.

Great breakfast in a historic hotel in a nice town. Very friendly entrepreneur. Highly recommended. Rooms were good and new showers. Lots to see in the hotel. Very beautiful wine cellar... …

Very centrally located in Nördlingen, very attentive host, unfortunately 0 points for comfort, beds too hard, the dust in the hallway almost makes you snarl, the furnishings...well...suitable for every season. On the 2nd floor you simply wait 15 minutes for the hot water, which is initially heated with a kettle.Overall, the dolls at the reception are very appealing ("We'll kill you tonight"), although there was again the omnipresent dust on everything. We will not undertake another visit

Were there with a tour group. The location is great. However, our room was outdated and not cleaned properly. The entire hotel is filled with junk and old furniture, lots of decorations and, above all, kitsch as far as the eye can see. Breakfast was a bit difficult because there were a lot of people there and the buffet was far too small.Operator completely overwhelmed and then very stressed. There is a lack of staff. The church bell also rings every 15 minutes...

Service perfect, very accommodating and nice. Location centrally in the city center, it couldn't be better. Price including breakfast very good for this location. Now for the caveats... As far as I know, the building is over 600 years old. There is no elevator. Rather difficult for people whose mobility is limited. But this target group would like the ambience. It may not be modern enough for young guests. I wish the operator lots of guests and can only recommend the hotel overall.
