A very nice hotel in the Steinach district right next to the train station and the cable car.Not luxury, but rooms are clean, beds comfortable and staff very nice.Unfortunately there is no restaurant anymore.The breakfast is rich and good.I would come again :)

Great country inn with typical Allgäu charm. It's just a shame that there is no bar or warm food in the evenings.But this is completely sufficient for a few days.Nice welcome and clean rooms complete the picture

The entrance: Staircase and hallway smell musty and old. Carpets and runners are dirty. The furnishings thrown together.The room: The smell in the room is actually okay, but only because the windows and balcony doors were tilted.The breakfast buffet: It consisted partly of gray sausage and dried cheese slices. Buns were baked. The tables are sticky and are probably always wiped with the same rag by the cleaner.The power supply: The sockets next to the bed don't work. I reported it. However, it seems that something will only be repaired when more things are broken in the house. Because no electrician is called just because of a few sockets. Was the statement we got.Cleanliness: The rooms are not cleaned often. Hair on the bed. Hair in the bathroom on the floor that has been lying there for days. Best proof that it wasn't cleaned.The toilet brush and holder were dirty. A note was written by us asking us to clean it. It lay there for three days, apparently not being noticed. The day before departure the note was gone. And the brush and holder were actually cleaned.(The dirt wasn't ours!!!) It was just DISGUSTING!!!Location of the hotel: The only thing that is OK.But that was it.Price performance is absolutely not right.

Overall really good. Standard room a bit small, but everything you actually need is there. Staff good at foreign languages and very friendly. Very good breakfast for the size of the hotel. Parking spaces in front of the house, there is enough for the number of guests. No restaurant in the evening, but the place isn't far, so that's okay.

An amazing hotel with best location. I recently visited and spent two nights. I had a very good breakfast. Also one can easily reach the surrounding beautiful places with bicycle. I really enjoyed it. The room was clean with a nice view from balcony.

Price/performance fits, we were satisfied. Good location for things to do, although the nearest inn is a bit away on foot. Good breakfast buffet and attentive staff, even if the language isn't that easy. We'll come back when we vacation nearby!

Excellent and friendly hosts. We were over an hour and half late for check in, but since we called and talked with the front desk someone stayed so we could check in. They were very kind, showed us around, gave us access to their hospitality room, which offered a variety of beers and wines. This was a very warm and cozy spot for our family of 6 to hang out, play games, and enjoy beverages. The couple that helps run the hotel are very kind and helpful making sure everyone has all comforts met. The breakfast spread had food choices that would entice any traveler. Rooms are clean and the hotel is quiet for a restful night's sleep.

We booked 7 nights, during this period the towels were changed once and the room was cleaned once. We had to replace used cups ourselves and coffee/tea wasn't refilled at all. The staff, which consisted of two people, spoke only English. For a hotel in this price range, an absurdity. The hotel itself seems very worn out, it sometimes smells musty, renovation work was certainly not carried out professionally. The breakfast was quite ok, but cold boiled eggs and baked rolls are not acceptable at all. The only positive thing was the view from the hotel Balcony if you get a room at the back.We will definitely not stay here again.

Great location, great view, children's playground nearby, hiking trail on the doorstep and also a cable car, the staff was very friendly (but only speak English), very dog-friendly, it was a great experience and the hotel is definitely worth recommending.

Frankly, not great, no reception when I arrived, I had to call, and someone came 15 minutes later, the rooms are expensive for the quality, I ended up with a very small bed, to have a large bed, I was forced to add 20€, even though the hotel was empty. Disappointing, and not commercial...at this price, you can really find better

Positive: Location of the hotel was very good. Very good view from the room thanks to the balcony.Negative: Cleanliness was poor. The rooms should be completely renovated but this time by a real craftsman. The skirting boards were simply cobbled together, painted without being taped off, etc. Anyone who has ever seen this (pig house) doesn't want to go back there. The patio is full of weeds. It smells strange in the hotel. Now for breakfast: The rolls were ok, the pretzels too, boiled eggs and scrambled eggs were available but cold. There was muesli but I didn't want to eat it dry because there was no milk. Mosquitoes and earwigs swam around in the juices. If sausage, cheese or anything else was empty, nothing was refilled. The price-performance ratio is not right at all. You won't see me in this hotel again.

I don't know where the good reviews come from, I can only agree with the bad reviews. Everything is run down, musty, in poor condition, etc. One night was enough, no more. It's not worth the money.
